Post #996: In Which Corey Inquires about Dragon Balls.
So, I'm looking to add a couple of items to my DragonBall collection, one of which being actual Dragon Balls. My question is, were any actually released as official items? And if so, how are the quality?
If there have been no licensed releases, how do the non-licensed releases stack up? I see Yahoo Japan is flooded with two variants, both with LCD stands that look kinda spiffy.

The only Dragon balls I ever obtained came in some action figures I purchased. They were very small though.Threw them out with some little bottle cap thingies with screen shots of characters on them.

To clarify, the ones I'm looking at are some form of faux-crystal/glass.

You mean that thing sticking out of the front of the packaging? Yeah... that's just a plastic bubble on a card in front of shiny cardboard...Conan the SSJ wrote:I know there's that Dragonball in the limited edition Budokai 3 release.
The only thing you got with the special edition B3 was a DVD, and a Brolly chibi toy, that had Brolly's alternate in-game colors.

Those are pretty bitchin'. It looks like they're transparent though and are only orange when they're sitting on top of that orange cloth.MajinVejitaXV wrote:http://page3.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c134407922
If I had to choose between your link and the PowerAnime link from Magica, I would have to go with HERS, because BanPresto seems to me like they'd be closer to 'official/legit' than the other (which I have no idea about not knowing any Japanese!).
Pretty spiffy, though

I'm a girl, and those are sold out. Just checked. <_<dasmith wrote: If I had to choose between your link and the PowerAnime link from Magica, I would have to go with his, because BanPresto seems to me like they'd be closer to 'official/legit' than the other (which I have no idea about not knowing any Japanese!).

Well, since Banpresto is a division of Bandai....dasmith wrote:Those are pretty bitchin'. It looks like they're transparent though and are only orange when they're sitting on top of that orange cloth.MajinVejitaXV wrote:http://page3.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c134407922

Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!
I really want these as well. I've noticed, however, that all the Dragon Ball I find are small as hell. I'm looking for some Dragon Balls that are about the size of the Earth balls in the show (can't fit in your hand). However, I'd rather get authentic ones, and Banpresto is authentic (as far as I know).
Yep, I remember that thing. I was so disappointed when I saw it wasn't a full toy dragonball.nathantheguitarist wrote:You mean that thing sticking out of the front of the packaging? There is no better combination in the world than Dragonball, Cherry Pepsi, and Cheez-Its. It's a proven fact.

So was I... but then the overall bad-assness of Budokai 3 put that out of my mind.
And the DVD wasn't bad either!
Ok... I might as well contribute to this thread while I'm here.
Apparently, the great Bandai has made their own set! And there's quite a lot of 'em up on ebay.

All the more durable. I'm the kind of person why always breaks Christmas ornaments during that time, so I wouldn't really mind rubber transparent DBs.Tsukento wrote:Man, those look like those rubber bouncing balls you get from those gumball-type machines. XD
And to think I would get psyched about trying to collect all of those plastic marble-sized DragonBalls that came with some of the figures

I'm very sorry! There ought to be some indication of this sort of thing in a profile so I don't have to be a jerkMagica wrote:I'm a girl, and those are sold out.
