Dragon Box and Dragon Box Singles

Post by coola » Tue May 15, 2007 11:44 am

Hello
I have one question about Dragon Box Z Singles
1.If Dragon Box Z Singles episodes have exactly the same quality as Dragon Box Z Vol 1 and 2?

Thanks for answers

In 2005, Toei announced the release of the individual discs from both DragonBall Dragon Box Z Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. This finally gave the fans that missed purchasing the original Dragon Box a chance to own it. Unfortunately these individual discs omit all of the extras that came with the Dragon Box, but would instead come with a special diorama set exclusively for the individual disc releases. In November of 2005, the first DragonBall Z individual discs were released with 3 discs released each month there after (with the exception of May 2006).

Yeah, while Desire beat me to it, I'll still post my answer.
Basically, they have the same quality. They just don't have any of the extras the Dragon Box did. But if you're just looking for the episodes, the singles are your best option.

Not basically, they are the same quality. They're the same damned discs with different menus :P

The real question is, will they leave the DB disks as-is, or remove the extras?

On Dragon Box:
Disks 1-25 ~ 6 episodes
Disk 26 ~ 3 episodes + extras

DB singles: (???)
Disks 1-23 ~ 6 episodes
Disks 24-26 ~ 5 episodes

Think about it! :P

Speaking of Dragon Box singles, I don't think these have been posted yet...

Awesome covers! I especially like the General blue desigh in volume 9; he looks so... evil.

Anyway, offtopic, are you and Hujio going to update the site sometime, or have you retired from working on it?

Thanks in advance. :)

I actually haven't talked to Hujio in quite a while. He was having serious issues with his computer, and there's a bunch of stuff that I finished several months ago that still hasn't been posted due to the problems (the rest of the Dragon Box pages). He also had other projects in mind, which I started working on, but I haven't gotten back to him with that yet...

And, uh, yeah...so I know about as much as you do right now (which is my own fault for not keeping in contact recently). :P

If there's a site, though, I'll keep writing stuff for it.

I adore that cover art. That is one of the reasons I want to see a new special so very badly. Though I'd prefer an animated NMZ or even an animated Cross Epoch.

Speaking of Cross Epoch, is Julian ever going to translate that as Mike hinted?

I always like the boxart except Goku's design. He always looks too plastic and more like Goten than young Goku.

He needs to be a little chubbier, that's what.
