Vegeta has scars all over! Now it's completely evident that he doesn't have these later on, so what ever happened to them? Where they just a mistake made by Toei to make him look cool?

The scars always bothered me, but sailorspazz's theroy seems to be reasonable. So i'm going with it.sailorspazz wrote:I remember seeing his scars in those training episodes and then noticing they were missing in GT in the episode with Vegeta's shower scene (along with his nipples*ahem*) but I'd always somehow believed they stayed consistent throughout DBZ...but now I just looked in the manga at the scene in the Buu saga where Vegeta first sees Trunks going Super Saiyan, and they're definitely not there anymore. I say it's Toriyama-sensei forgetfulness at work again....
OK, checking more manga volumes, I found something interesting. First I went to check to see if the scars were present in the scene where Vegeta gets out of the healing machine before going to Namek (Vegeta is naked often....not that I'm complaining) And what's this? No scars! So I got to thinking maybe it wasn't Toriyama, but Toei that added the scars and then forgot about them. But then I checked the scene where Vegeta is asking (demanding
) Dr. Briefs to make him a gravity machine....and the scars are there! So before Namek, he had no scars. After Namek, he had scars. In the Buu saga, he had no scars again. So there goes the theory that maybe the scars disappeared because he had been brought back to life, since apparently they weren't there before he died. LOL design inconsistencies.
Hahaha. That's right. And also, Yamcha's hole was healed after Dr. Gero jabbed right through his body.I'm sure if a Senzu bean can heal complete holes through a persons body then it can heal mere scars.SaiyaMel wrote:After Goku was healed by a senzu bean from his fight with Piccolo (Jr) - he had a scar where Piccolo shot that laser ki thing through his shoulder.. that disappeared the next scene where Goku is shown shirtless in DBZ.
Except for Bardock... and Toteppo. They've both got scars.Drabaz wrote:Hahaha. That's right. A more reasonable answer is that Vegeta is a Saiyajin. Saiyajins are fighting machines that don't age as fast as humans for the purpose of fighting. So I'm sure scars heal up quickly for them.
Well, Yamcha's scars on his face didn't heal, and Tenshinhan was given senzu in the past, and his scars remain.Drabaz wrote: Hahaha. That's right.
