The advert has been changed a bit.
I finally bought a gamecube. To bad they don't make any games for it now.

Oh my god I didn't hear "WIDESCREEN" once! Funi seems to be getting their shit together (at least slightly.)
Aro started to laugh. “Ha, ha, ha,” he chuckled.- Actual quote from Twilight

Remastered in HD. Yeah, except that it's . . . like, not.

Who cares, they may bullshit a hell of a lot, but I can't wait for this!

It is HD, just not HDDVD

Hopefully Funimation will pay attention to what fans want and release the Dragonbox versions on Blu-ray.

No, it's not. It's only 720x480, the two current 'HD' resolutions are 1280x720 and 1920x1080.

Actually, if you buy this set you're sending them a message that you don't want the Dragonbox.

No. The season sets are *not* "high-definition". The original source material is remastered in high-definition, but it is inherently impossible for what you purchase on standard DVD for these season boxsets to be anything other than standard resolution (480p).

While the eventual Blu-Ray releases will be distributed in 1080p, do not allow yourself(ves) to misunderstand the technical aspects behind standard DVDs.

That being said, I am watching these new threads extremely closely, and will not hesitate to ban & lock without additional contact.

26 episodes on 6 disks? Funimation seems to slacking on the episode counts.....
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

26 episodes on 6 discs? I guess I was right about them only sticking the Imperfect and Perfect Cell sagas together. Guess they'll put the Cell Games in one set. It has over 30 episodes. :?

I am sooo glad that I have the Androids, Imperfect Cell, Perfect Cell, and Cell Games on the original Funi DVDs. :P
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Fan of Dragon Ball Z and various other Anime since '98! ^^

This trailer for some specific reason stands out to me. Like, even on Yootubb the video quality on the scenes from the show actually look pretty damn good.

...but I shalln't be fooled.

I've picked up the first three bricks, but I'm debating on whether I'll continue now with my recent PS3 purchase. I kind of want to hold out and see how the Blu-Ray releases turn out.

Do the sets still have the ridiculous ammount of scratches and hairs the first set did?

That's what's really preventing me from buying any more. And the fact that the video seemed to jump all over the place when there was a ki blast fired

Youtube. Ugh.

Got marked for spamming when I said I didn't intend to buy the set. The heck?

Why does the video look so much better now? Seriously irritating.

Only because they know how much BS they'd gotten when they advertised it for Season 1. It'll still be in wide-screen. Hell, the Trunks/Bardock DVD's trailer featured 4:3 footage, but guess who, FUNi has it in 16:9 anyway.

HAHAHAAHAHAHHAAAAA!

I love how they say: "With the visual clarity that only DVD can bring!"

How about Blu-ray, FUNi?

...I'm usually not into hating on Funi, but seriously? They need a better script for that advertisment.

On another note, I get laugh at hearing Sabat's voice doing the ad. But I am easily entertained by any dubbing companies over-use of the same 5 people. :P
