Wow! That is probably the first DB gif ever seen by me on the internet. Its from Ultimate Battle 22, right?

I'd like to see a high quality version of this as well.

According to Kanzentai's Japanese commercials page, it's from the commercial for Shin Budou-den for the Saturn (you have to scroll about 2/3rds of the way down the page to find it).

Cool, I knew it was some PS1/Saturn era game, but for some reason UB 22 just popped into my head.

About the gif, that insane quality one is really nice. I always liked that gif, because at that time there were so many characters featured that I had absolutely no idea about. Of course it led to something horrible, my search for all the Dragonball info I could get my hands on. In doing that, I pretty much spoiled a large part of the Cell saga for myself. While it was awesome teasing my friends with the info ("wait till you see this", it sucked because most of the impact of the moments were gone.

Well, it's a GIF... limited to 256 colors. And the 640x480 version was pushing 3 MB

Actually, the more I look at it, the more it's irritating me how everything is off-center to the left far too much. It's part of the original animation and framing, but I should have taken that into consideration and made it better. Blah.

Maybe tomorrow or something.

I meant if was from an DragonBox extra or something. Or was it directly from the video game disc.

The footage in question is from an advertisement for the Sega Saturn's Dragon Ball Z Shin Budou-den that appeared between commercial breaks of DragonBall Z episodes. The footage used for the GIF itself was ripped from Dragon Box Z Volume 1. The commercial was featured in one of the bonuses, "DragonBall Z Product Advertisements", found on the 26th disc.
