How often are people in the room? I was kind of hoping to talk with some other fans, but no one in at the moment u.u Just wanted to know if this is normal or during what times (time zones included) are most people on?

Sure you're in the right room? There's always at least a half-dozen folks in there, and somebody's usually up for a conversation if one is started.

I have done everything said in the chat page in order to log on, but no one is here.

Eh, now I'm a bit confused. The daizex.com instructions are pretty straightforward (If I could figure it out, anyone should), so you must've just made a typo or something. The "now talking in #/join" tells me that, actually.

Followed the instructions as well, but also alone. Granted this could be because other people are actually paying attention to their classes, but seeing other people having had problems recently I figured I'd make a note here.

If you're "alone," then you're definitely in the wrong room. There's always at least a half-dozen people in there at any given time, even if nobody's really saying or doing anything.

You need to say "/server irc.rizon.net", otherwise nothing will happen.

Bit of a bump, but just remembered I was going to check on some even easier ways of getting into the chat, and finally got around to it.
