"Dragon Ball Z: The Silent Movie"

Post by Brakus » Sat Jan 03, 2009 6:40 am

Found this on YouTube (and also available on a-m-v.org), it's very cute and it's already miles better than any live-action sequel that may eventually be made from the Dragon Ball Evolution movie.... Enjoy!

...Yeah, I stopped watching after the first two overly-obnoxious "wrong"s about Evolution about 3 seconds in. Was the actual content really good?

Eh... it was alright. I wouldn't bother.

I'd find it a lot more funny if it was short and simple with no text, just everyone messing around, creating representations of slapstick fun through music timing and the character's actions in the series with a goofy old tune. A good example is the Silent Star Wars video. I'd love to see that mix but with Dragon Ball clips instead.

The "Wrong"s only last a few moments, and frankly work against the actual content.

Basically, it's Dragon Ball footage that is messed with to look like a silent movie. A few of the jokes are pretty funny, but a lot of them fall flat as well. Anyway, they don't even mention the Live Action film after the extremely obnoxious opening.

First of all: Obviously, you've never seen Scrubs. Dr. Cox is supposed to be extremely obnoxious.

I still thought it was cute. True, some of the jokes were clever, and others not so much, but it was cute and different; a neat way to make light of DBZ Season 1.

Actually, I love Scrubs. I didn't realize that was Perry's voice, but I thought it sounded familiar.
