Those are amazing. I love how much detail and attention went into the environments for this movie.

Huh, really? Would you mind scanning that part in?
Anyway, those backgrounds are really neat. They have a few of the same pictures in Daizenshuu 6, though not nearly as big. What size are they in the book?
Oh yeah, notice how Trunks' room has Dr. Slump posters and a gas mask?

Not really that big at all. I sometimes scan things like that so I can look at it in better detail, which is pretty much what happened in this case. The CD is to get a scene of size.

Those backgrounds are beautiful! I love seeing sketches like this; especially those of the city and of the inside of Capsule Corp.

I absolutely love this stuff. Behind the scenes things like that are the reason I buy Japanese guidebooks. Thanks for scanning those!

That is one crazy lookin' CD you've got there...
"Kenshi is sitting down right now drawing his mutated spaghetti monsters thinking he's the shit..."--Neptune Kai
"90% of you here don't even know what you're talking about (there are a few that do). But the things you say about these releases are nonsense and just plain dumb. Like you Metalwario64"--

Wait a sec! I've got a stupid question: Do the Dragonball movies have budgets? If so, which one had the highest? Was it this one?

Wow, thank you very much for these scans!! By the way, did the book come with the pink advertisement banner that goes on the bottom.

I'm sure they all had budgets, and I'd say the 10th Anniverary Movie had the highest one, since it was the longest, and used a new animating process or studio; I'm not an expert, but it's obvious it was made with a more modern and unique style.

Does anyone know how many art books were in this series? The only ones I know about are the DBZ movie 12 and 13 ones...

I hope I'm not asking too much, but when you get a chance would you mind scanning all three sections of the pink banner? Thanks.
And does anyone know the retail price and release date for this book? I'm sure it's listed on the book somewhere, but if anyone already knows it, that would be great.
And lastly, that code in the second picture of the pink banner (T1068101030882) is the ISBN code, right?

Jump Animation Collection 3 was released in October 1995 for 880 Yen. Incidentally, there was also a
Jump Animation Library book that focused on DBZ Movie 12, "Rebirth of Fusion!! Goku and Vegeta", that was released in April 1995 for 1000 Yen.

Not really. It's very possible that Tapion arrived on Earth in Trunks' timeline and something happened that ended up with Trunks getting his sword (not necessarily Hildegarn getting free, as Trunks would get his ass handed in that case but... yeah). One possible explanation would be that Tapion and Hoi were killed by 17 and 18, and Trunks just took the sword from Tapion's corpse.

Were there any other data books that displayed background sketches from any other movies or the anime besides the Daizenshuu or the two mentioned previously?
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.
