Jung is a fictional celestial body that appears in the Dragon Ball Super manga, located within Universe 7, notable for its Blue Aurum resource. The planet first appears in chapter 43 of the Dragon Ball Super manga, originally published 21 December 2018 in the February 2019 issue of Shueisha's V-Jump magazine.
General Overview
Planet Jung is notable for its abundance of Blue Aurum (ブルーオーラム Burū Ōramu), a fuel source used for various machines.[1] The Macareni Gang repeatedly visit the planet to rob it of said resources.[1][2] A local police force of anthropomorphic animal people ride hover vehicles.[1]
The planet has at least one mountainous area, where Blue Aurum is transported by train. Signs with a written language are located along the tracks. What appear to be other planets and satellites are clearly visible in the sky from the surface of Jung.[1]
The Macareni Gang report back to Moro that Jung does not have much in the way of energy that he could eat, and after robbing it again, set off for Earth.[2]
Name
The name of Planet (惑星 wakusei) Jung (ジャング jyangu) is one diacritical mark adjustment away from the Japanese approximation of the English word "junk" (ジャンク janku).
The planet's name is rendered as "Jung" in Viz's English translation of the manga.
