Summary
New Planet Namek has been reduced to a lifeless husk. The bodies of dead Namekians dot the landscape near the villages. Saganbo cannot believe that the planet died so quickly; meanwhile, Moro has been restored to a youthful appearance. The Galactic Prison escapees pile into Saganbo's ship. Moro tells Saganbo that planets with such unique species possess spectacular energy; his physical recovery is virtually complete. Saganbo asks him if the Galactic Patrol guys who vanished are dead, but Moro tells him no; two of them are capable of teleportation, including Dai Kaiōshin, so they have simply escaped again.
Saganbo notes that the spaceship also got away and asks which group they should go after first, but Moro tells him not to worry about them; people with that much power are rare so he treats them like livestock, letting them roam as they will, though he will kill them if they get in his way again. He asks Saganbo if he knows of any planets with significant life force; he would like to build up his reserves. Saganbo tells him that before they got locked up, he and his crew went all around the galaxy, so he has a few good ones in mind. Moro is pleased and tells Saganbo to lead the way. In the control room, Saganbo tells Moro that he will send his people out scouting. Several smaller craft depart Saganbo's ship before it takes off from the dead planet as well.
At Galactic Patrol Headquarters, the Galactic King emerges from his bath to ask a couple of Galactic Patrol members whether it is true that every inmate in the Galactic Prison has escaped. They panic, begging him to put something on. Embarrassed, the Galactic King wraps his arms around himself while one of the patrolmen rushes for his royal crown. He puts it on, and asks Merusu why he had not been informed. Merusu claims that he thought he knew; the patrolman adds that some of their intel wires got crossed. Goku asks Jaco if the Galactic King is not still naked. Jaco thinks Goku must be blind; he has got his kingly crown on! Did Goku think Jaco was wearing pants all this time? Goku is shocked to learn that he was not.
Meanwhile, the Galactic King is distressed that Moro and the escapees are still at large. Jaco bows and apologizes; despite the presences of elites such as himself, their mission ended in total failure. But the Galactic King is not paying attention and has walked right past Jaco; he tells Merusu that he was sure they would get it all sorted. While Jaco runs to catch up, Merusu explains that Moro became more powerful than they expected, and they will need to rework their strategy.
Goku asks the patrolmen if Majin Boo and a little green kid showed up here earlier, but before they can answer, Esca emerges from a doorway ahead of them, excited to see that Goku and the others managed to teleport away from Namek. Goku asks Esca if he is alright, and what happened to Boo; Esca says he is fine, but after they arrived, Boo's face changed and he fell asleep again. Goku says Boo fought hard for them and he must be exhausted. Esca wonders what happened to Vegeta; Goku says he probably took off somewhere to train. This surprises Merusu, but Goku explains that their normal stuff not working against Moro probably got to Vegeta, so he probably has an idea for something new to try. Goku thinks they need to come up with something too, something that does not involve Boo.
On the Galactic Patrol ship, Vegeta tells Iriko that Moro does not seem to be following them; he went off in another direction. Iriko activates the autopilot and says that Saganbo's ship is the fastest he has ever known and he cannot track it by radar. Vegeta asks who that is, and Iriko explains it was the guy standing next to Moro. He is the leader of a gang of galactic bandits. Vegeta realizes that Saganbo is the one who hit Kakarrot, and Iriko says he was very hard to capture, given his strength. And now he is free again. Vegeta insists he was not a worthy opponent; without Moro helping him, even his boy could have defeated him. Iriko is surprised to learn that Vegeta is a father.
Vegeta asks Iriko how long it will take to get to Planet Yardrat; he runs the numbers and tells Vegeta it will be about a week in terms of Earth time. Vegeta says he will rest in the meantime, but Iriko wants to know what he plans to do when they get there. Vegeta says the Yardratians are not fighters, but they have a number of strange techniques; they were the ones who taught Kakarrot teleportation, for example. Iriko asks if he is hoping they know a trick or two that will help him defeat Moro, and Vegeta confirms, though he does not exactly relish this approach. Vegeta retires to his cabin and says that he cannot afford to be made a fool of like that again. He will be victorious next time, over Moro, the convict, and Kakarrot too.
A few days later, Saganbo and his men attack Planet Zun.[a] They fight the guards protecting the royal treasure, killing most of them. Once the treasure is secured, they move to leave. One of the Zun fighters tries to fire at them, but "Seven-Three" kills him. Saganbo tells him to cut it out; they have to leave something for Moro to eat. They return to the ship and report to Moro that they got the treasure, and the planet is all his. Moro absorbs the planet's energy, and one of Saganbo's men tells another that no matter how many times he sees it, it chills him to watch planets die. Saganbo and his first lieutenant do not seem disturbed, though.
Moro found this planet to be a good snack, and Saganbo thanks him. The lieutenant thinks they make a pretty good team; they get the loot, and Moro gets to eat. Moro agrees; they will need valuable resources once his ideals are realized. The lieutenant assures him that snagging valuables is their specialty. Saganbo receives a call from one of their scout teams; a trio of fighting ladies have found a planet with lots of energetic beasts.[b] Saganbo tells them they will head that way. They prepare to strip the planet of its treasures before Saganbo arrives.
At Galactic Patrol Headquarters, a patrolman reports to Merusu that Planet Zun has been annihilated. Merusu is surprised that they have progressed that far, and asks the patrolman if he managed to locate their life signatures. The patrolman explains that they are moving too fast; they keep losing track of them on the radar. Goku says he cannot read ki signatures that far away. Merusu suspects Moro is targeting planets out of their reach, and Goku is worried that Moro is just getting stronger.
Merusu realizes that even if they could confront Moro now, they probably could not win. Goku asks Merusu if that would still be the case if he were fighting seriously. Merusu is confused, so Goku asks if he can test something. Merusu asks what he wants to test. Then he sees Goku's hand twitch. Goku throws a punch, and Merusu dodges. Jaco does not understand why Goku is attacking Merusu; did he say something to make him mad? Goku ignores him, and tells Merusu he meant for that punch to connect. Merusu says he knows; that is why he dodged. Jaco continues to try to make peace; he gets that Merusu is snobby, pretentious, and a heavy-handed leader, but he is not all bad. Is his face not adorable, with those too-short bangs?
Goku tells Merusu that he wants to get a feel for his true power and asks if he will spar with him. Merusu agrees, taking him to a special training room for Galactic Patrol agents; it can withstand a good amount of abuse. Goku is excited they have a place like that, and he volunteers to get things started. He attacks, and Merusu dodges. He powers up to Super Saiyan, and Merusu grabs his punch and twists him into the air. He powers up to Super Saiyan 3, and Jaco wonders why there is no bloodlust on display. Esca explains that Goku is just testing Merusu's power. Jaco is surprised that that is all Goku is doing; they could have just shown him the results of this year's physical fitness test so he did not have to waste time. Esca is surprised that they spend time on that. Jaco says he has gotten the best score for the upward-facing dog pose for three years, and Esca seems impressed.
Merusu continues to dodge Super Saiyan 3 Goku, so Goku powers up further to Super Saiyan God. The walls of the room start cracking, so Jaco shouts at him to stop or he will bring the roof down. Goku apologizes and powers down, saying they are done. Merusu asks if he is satisfied, and Goku thinks he has seen enough for now...and it is just as he thought. Merusu seems confused, but then Goku asks him to train him. Jaco thinks he must have heard wrong. Goku says that he does not have a total feel for Merusu's strength, but clearly he knows a lot that Goku does not know. He asks Merusu if he is wrong, but Merusu is silent. Goku goes on to explain that there is one technique he has yet to master, a technique that allows the body to move on its own, so it might work against Moro even after Moro starts absorbing his energy. Goku has a feeling that training with Merusu might help him master the technique. Merusu agrees to train him, and Goku is excited, but Merusu says they will have to take it somewhere else; this room can only take so much, but he has another place in mind. Goku is relieved; it would not be very good training if he could not even use god power.
On Planet Jung, Pastar holds up a security guard at a vault, demanding he hand over all of their processed Blue Aurum. The guard asks if they were not captured by the Galactic Patrol, and Pastar explains that the Galactic Patrol is closed for repairs right now, so no one is coming to save him. As he heads for the ship with the goods, Pastar thinks that they really got lucky; all they had to do was pretend to pledge loyalty to that Moro guy, and now the galaxy is theirs for the taking. He tells Ghetti to call Saganbo and give him a good story. They take off, and Ghetti tells Saganbo that Planet Jung was a bust; there was not much energy there. They are off to search for another planet. Pastar asks where they should go next, and Penne reminds them that when they got busted, that one Galactic Patrol agent mentioned that some planet called Earth has something like Blue Aurum on it, called Sky Gold.[5] Ghetti compliments her good ears, and Pastar tells her to head to Earth, then.
Meanwhile, Iriko's ship finally pulls up to Planet Yardrat, and Iriko tells Vegeta to wake up.
Interstitial Page
The interstitial page following this chapter in the eleventh collected volume features a Galactic Patrol fitness test. One agent holds down Jaco's legs while Karamisu measures how high Jaco can lift his chin from a prone position with his arms behind his back. This would appear to be the "upward-facing dog pose" mentioned by Jaco in the chapter.
Continuity
The events of this chapter take place after the final episode of Dragon Ball Super and they have not been depicted in any other continuity.

Notes
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 Planet Zun is the home planet of Pui-Pui, Bobbidi's henchman who was defeated by Vegeta inside Bobbidi's ship.[1] Toyotarō also incorporated the distinct but similar designs for some of Bobbidi's lesser henchmen, such as the one who fetched the kiri meter when Goku was fighting Yakon,[2] and the ones who were eaten by Yakon in the anime.[3]
- ↑ 2.0 2.1 2.2 The beasts encountered by the lady trio were based on an unused image board that Akira Toriyama illustrated for Dragon Ball GT in 1996.[4]
