A new Time Patroller is sucked into a rift in Toki Toki City and is transported back to the fight that should be between Super Saiyan Goku and Freeza, now also featuring a transformed Coola. A veteran Time Patroller arrives on the scene and helps the new recruit and Goku defeat their enemies with a triple-Kamehameha.[note 1][1]
↑For the purposes of this story, the new Time Patrol recruit is depicted as the pre-made custom character design consistently used in Bandai Namco's Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2 trailers and promotional print material, while the veteran Time Patroller who assists is likewise the pre-made custom character design consistently used in Bandai Namco's original Dragon Ball XENOVERSE trailers and promotional print material. Within the Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2 game itself, the player creates their own new Time Patrol character, and has the option of importing save data from the first Dragon Ball XENOVERSE to use their previous Time Patroller in place of the veteran, or to select from a few custom designs pre-made by Bandai Namco (one of whom is the aforementioned trailer version).
