Major Events
| Date | Event |

| Early January[note 1] 789 | Son Goku and Oob complete their training. Pilaf makes a wish with the Ultimate Dragon Balls, inadvertently turning Goku into a child. The Ultimate Dragon Balls scatter through the universe, and Earth will explode in one year unless they are brought back before then.[1] |
| Between January and October 789 |
Goku, Pan, and Trunks venture into space to track down the Ultimate Dragon Balls,[2] meeting Giru along the way.[3] Their search causes them to cross paths with Baby, who escapes their clutches.[4] |
| October[note 2] 789 | Baby invades Earth[5] and takes over Vegeta's body. Goku, Pan, and Trunks track down the final Ultimate Dragon Ball and begin their trip back to Earth.[6] |
| Between October and December[note 3] 789 |
Baby "Tsufruizes" the entirety of Earth except for Majin Boo, Mister Satan,[7] and Oob and his sibilings.[8] |
| Late December[note 4] 789 | Goku, Pan, Trunks, and Giru return to Earth and hand over the Ultimate Dragon Balls to Dende. Baby uses the Ultimate Dragon Balls to restore Planet Tsufru next to Earth.[9] Goku defeats Baby.[10] |
| Early January 790 | Earth explodes, but is wished back with the Namekian Dragon Balls.[11] |
| 07 May 790 | A Tenka'ichi Budōkai is held.[note 5] Mister Satan wins. Oob is the runner-up.[12] |
| After 07 May 790 |
Artificial Human No. 17 and New No. 17 merge into Super No. 17 as a gateway between the world of the living and the dead opens.[13] Goku defeats Super No. 17.[14] Evil Dragons emerge from the Dragon Balls due to a build up of Minus Energy caused by the balls' overuse.[15] Goku defeats Super Yi Xing Long with a Super Ultra Genki-Dama,[16] and leaves with Shenlong.[17] |

Notes
- ↑ Dragon Ball GT: Perfect File Volume 1 includes a timeline which explicitly places both Pilaf's wish and Son Goku transforming into Super Saiyan 4 in Age 789. For the entirety of the prior-stated events to take place in the same year, Pilaf's wish must occur very early on in Age 789.
- ↑ In Dragon Ball GT episode 25, Chi-Chi remarks that nine months have passed since Goku, Pan, and Trunks left Earth. This nine-month passage of time is corroborated by the timeline present in Dragon Ball GT: Perfect File Volume 1.
- ↑ After Baby "Tsufruizes" the population of Earth, in Dragon Ball GT episode 28, Mister Satan remarks that two months have passed since "things started getting weird," indicating a two-month passage of time between Baby's arrival on Earth and Goku's.
- ↑ Dragon Ball GT: Perfect File Volume 1 includes a timeline which explicitly places both Pilaf's wish and Son Goku transforming into Super Saiyan 4 in Age 789. Dragon Ball GT episode 40 establishes that there are two weeks between Baby's defeat and the anniversary of Pilaf's wish, which occurs in Age 790.
- ↑ Dragon Ball GT Episode 41 never assigns a numbered designation to the Tenka'ichi Budōkai held in this episode. Taking into account the triennial nature of the tournament, this would be the 30th Tenka'ichi Budōkai.
