Usage
First arc
- The first Kamehameha in the series is performed by its inventor, the Turtle Hermit, to put out the inferno at Mount Frypan in Dragon Ball Chapter 14. He inadvertently blows up the entire mountain in the process.
- Though the Turtle Hermit says it took him fifty years to master the Kamehameha, Son Goku immediately manages to copy it and fire off a small one, wrecking a car in Chapter 15.
- Trapped inside Pilaf's Castle in Chapter 19, Goku attempts to break a wall with the Kamehameha, but the result is merely a small hole. This does allow Oolong and Pu'er to fly through it after transforming into bats, and prevent Pilaf's wish from being granted.
21st Tenka'ichi Budōkai arc
- Having entered the Tenka'ichi Budōkai as "Jackie Chun", the Turtle Hermit uses the Kamehameha to get back into the ring during his match against Kuririn in Chapter 43.
- In the final match, Goku and Jackie Chun have a Kamehameha versus Kamehameha clash in Chapter 47.
- When Goku turns into a Great Ape, Jackie Chun uses a "Kamehameha Max Power" to blow up the moon in Chapter 51.
- In Chapter 52, Jackie Chun attempts to use the Kamehameha again, but does not have enough energy left. Goku does manage to use one in return, though, which almost results in Jackie Chun going out of bounds.
Red Ribbon Army arc
- When Goku fights Sergeant Metallic in Chapter 59, he thinks Metallic fired a "Kamehameha-looking thing from his mouth", so he uses a Kamehameha of his own, blowing Metallic's head off. Goku fears he has killed a person, but the robot continues to move.
- Goku attempts a Kamehameha against Buyon in Chapter 64, but it bounces off just like every other attack.
- Goku uses the Kamehameha to get out of a giant octopus' clutches in Chapter 76.
- Goku fires off a Kamehameha to propel himself, Bulma, Kuririn and a mouse out of the Pirate Cave and up out of the water in Chapter 79.
- Goku blasts Tao Pai-pai with a Kamehameha in Chapter 86, but it has no effect beyond shredding the assassin's clothes.
- While tearing through the Red Ribbon Army's base in Chapter 94, Goku uses a Kamehameha to blow up a flying vehicle, which sends the flying vehicle next to it crashing into a tower.
- The Fortuneteller Crone's masked fighter uses a Kamehameha to surprise Goku in Chapter 106, who surprises him in return by using a Kamehameha of his own in Chapter 107.
- In Chapter 110, Goku uses a Kamehameha to blast the combined Pilaf Machines, wrecking Mai's one in particular.
22nd Tenka'ichi Budōkai arc
- Yamcha uses his first Kamehameha in the series against Tenshinhan in Chapter 117, who bounces it back.
- Kuririn figures that if Yamcha could perform the Kamehameha, he should be able to as well, and manages to launch one at Chiaotzu in Chapter 121.
- In Chapter 124, Tenshinhan uses the Kamehameha against Jackie Chun after discovering the old man's true identity, saying it is an easy technique to copy.
- In his match against Kuririn in Chapter 126, Goku uses a Kamehameha in mid-air to propel himself into his opponent. Kuririn fires off one of his own to distract Goku and create an opening to grab his tail.
- Goku starts saying "Ka... me... ha... me..." in Chapter 129, but stops, choosing to save his energy because he figures Tenshinhan would just deflect the technique again.
- The Turtle Hermit uses the Kamehameha to blast the Crane Hermit off into the distance in Chapter 131, putting an end to his interfering with the match.
- Transitioning from Chapter 133 into 134, Goku uses a Kamehameha to launch himself towards Tenshinhan, sending them both hurtling out of bounds. Goku manages to fire another tiny Kamehameha trying to keep himself from hitting the ground first, but he loses the match anyway when a truck drives into his path.
Demon King Piccolo arc
- Goku annihilates Tambourine with a Kamehameha in Chapter 141, avenging Kuririn and Kinto'un.
- Goku uses the Kamehameha against the Demon King Piccolo in Chapter 143, but it has no effect whatsoever.
- Goku bends the Kamehameha for the first time in Chapter 157, twisting it around to hit the back of Piccolo's head.
23rd Tenka'ichi Budōkai arc
- Kuririn uses a Kamehameha against Ma Junior in Chapter 173, who dodges it by leaving an Afterimage.
- Goku uses a Super Kamehameha to counter Piccolo's blast in Chapter 185.
- Goku fires a Kamehameha from his feet in Chapter 188, leaving his hands free to punch Piccolo in the face.
- In Chapter 189, Goku fires a small Kamehameha to get out of the way of Piccolo's homing blast.
- Goku announces his victory in Chapter 191 before pummeling Piccolo and almost finishing him off with a Kamehameha from the air.
Saiyan arc
- Goku uses a bending Kamehameha against Raditz in Chapter 201, whose scouter indicates "Kakarrot" now has a battle power of 924 compared to the 416 it displayed earlier.
- Yamcha uses what looks like a Kamehameha against one of the Saibaimen in Chapter 215, which seems to finish the job, but the Saibaiman gets back up and selfdestructs, taking Yamcha down with it.
- Kuririn fires what looks like a Kamehameha at Nappa when Son Gohan is too paralyzed with fear to launch his own attack in Chapter 218.
- Goku deflects Nappa's "Greatest Technique" with a Kamehameha at point-blank range in Chapter 226.
- Goku uses the Kamehameha in combination with the Kaiō-Ken to counter Vegeta's Galic Cannon in Chapter 231. He goes up to 3x Kaiō-Ken initially, and then to 4x in order to overpower Vegeta.
Namek / Freeza arc
- Training at 100 times Earth's gravity in Chapter 270, Goku bends several Kamehameha around at himself, then recovers by eating a senzu.
- Fighting Freeza alongside Gohan and Piccolo, Kuririn fires a Kamehameha up at him in Chapter 305.
- Underwater in Chapter 309, Goku creates two Kamehameha orbs that he sends up out of the water one after another to distract Freeza, before kicking him with both feet.
- In desperation, Goku goes up to 20x Kaiō-Ken and fires a Kamehameha at Freeza in Chapter 313, but all it does is piss him off
- In Chapter 316, Freeza gets hit by two blasts from Gohan and Kuririn, the latter of whom can be seen holding his hands out in Kamehameha position.
- Now a Super Saiyan, Goku gets into the Kamehameha pose in Chapter 319, but Freeza says he would rather die by killing himself. Goku tells him to go ahead, but instead Freeza fires a blast at Planet Namek itself.
- Transitioning from Chapter 322 into 323, Goku fires a Kamehameha up at Freeza, who dives down enveloped by an energy sphere of his own. After a brief struggle, Freeza circles around to hit Goku head-on.
Artificial Humans / Cell arc
- In Chapter 341, Goku fires a Kamehameha down at Artificial Human No. 19, who absorbs it into the palm of his hand.
- In Chapter 342, when Goku is about to fire another Kamehameha, Piccolo warns him not to.
- Cell reveals he can use the Kamehameha in Chapters 362 and 363.
- Goku uses a Kamehameha against Cell in Chapter 397, which gets swatted aside easily.
- Cell fires his own Kamehameha at Goku in Chapter 399. Goku jumps into the air to keep it from hitting the spectators and possibly blowing up the Earth.
- Transitioning from Chapter 400 into 401, Goku combines the Kamehameha with his teleportation skill to catch Cell off-guard and hit him point-blank.
- Cell launches a full-power Kamehameha down at Gohan in Chapter 410, threatening to destroy the Earth along with him, but Gohan calmly counters it with his own Kamehameha.
- Starting in Chapter 414, Cell charges up one final Kamehameha intending to end it all, and Gohan fires off his own with the image of Goku behind him. This Kamehameha versus Kamehameha struggle continues on into Chapter 416.
Majin Boo arc
- Son Goten shoots a mispronounced "Kamekameha" at Trunks in Chapter 434.
- Gohan blasts Majin Boo's egg with a Kamehameha in Chapter 460. It opens up with seemingly nothing inside it but smoke, until the smoke coalesces into Majin Boo.
- Super Saiyan 3 Goku uses the Kamehameha against Boo, who mimics it and fires one right back in Chapter 475.
- Preparing to finish Boo off in Chapter 495, Gotenks gets into a Kamehameha stance, but suddenly drops out of his Super Saiyan 3 state as the Fusion's time limit approaches.
- Majin Boo, in his Gotenks-absorbed form, fires a Kamehameha at Gohan in Chapter 500.
- In Chapter 510, Goku blasts a Kamehameha at Boo - now in his original, pure form - who fires off one of his own later in the same chapter. Goku then uses the technique again, saying this is a proper Kamehameha.
- Boo uses what looks like a Kamehameha in Chapter 516 to try and stop the Genki-Dama coming at him.
