"An Immortal Showdown!!" is the one hundred and fifty-seventh chapter of the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. It was first published in Japan in the 1988 #07 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.
Summary
Piccolo is going to show Goku the ferocity of his full power, and Goku says he will go all out as well. Piccolo charges up a bit more, and then rushes at Goku, swinging at him. However, Goku jumps over it and lands behind Piccolo. Piccolo then turns around, and delivers a hard punch to Goku's back. The punch sends Goku flying into the ground, with the impact creating a large crater. Piccolo laughs about his victory, and Tenshinhan thinks it is all over.
But then there's a "Ka..." from the crater, and Tenshinhan and Piccolo take notice. "Me... Ha... Me..." Goku shoots up from the crater, and "Haaaaa!!!!", fires a Kamehameha down at Piccolo. Piccolo holds his hands out to catch it, but Goku then swerves it at the last second. The Kamehameha is directed to the side of Piccolo, then comes around and hits him in the back of the head.
Tenshinhan cannot believe Goku bent a Kamehameha, as Goku yells at Piccolo to get back up. Piccolo says Goku is a freak, and Goku responds with a "we're equal in that respect". Goku jumps up at Piccolo with a kick, but Piccolo blocks it, and hits Goku with a knee. Goku kicks at Piccolo again, and Piccolo blocks again, and then punches Goku off. Piccolo rushes after Goku, but Goku kicks off the ground and makes a 90 degree turn. Piccolo does the same to keep the chase, and so Goku touches the ground with his hands, and kicks back at Piccolo. Tenshinhan feels completely outclassed.
