"Son Goku's Greatest Crisis!!" is the one hundred and fifty-eighth chapter of the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. It was first published in Japan in the 1988 #08 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.

Summary

Piccolo kicks Goku, and Goku jumps up and punches Piccolo in the gut, and then Piccolo lands an elbow to Goku's head. Goku does a mid-air roundhouse kick, elbows Piccolo in the face, punches him in the gut, and finally kicks Piccolo off. Up inside one of the castle's buildings, the King and his two guards hear some noises outside. One guard says Piccolo is not at West City, and so the King looks outside, and wonders who those other two are.

Piccolo shoots some eye beams at Goku, with one hard direct hit to Goku's right knee. Piccolo laughs and says he cannot possibly win with only one leg, but Goku insists one leg is plenty. Piccolo comes at Goku, and so Goku pulls out his Nyoi-Bō, and makes it extend, shooting Goku up into the air so that he can elbow Piccolo in the face. One guard thinks they should let the world's future be decided by these kids, and the King reluctantly agrees, as they decide to escape.

Piccolo is pissed about this strange Nyoi-Bō, as the little plane continues heading toward King Castle. Yamcha says they will be there in ten minutes, and hopes Tenshinhan does not die. Bulma says West City still has not been destroyed, and cheers Tenshinhan on. A news reporter comes in on the little plane's TV, and says Piccolo is still at King Castle, with two people opposing him. They show an image from the long distance camera, since it is too dangerous to get close, and says it seems like one of them is a young man. It seems like the one fighting is a little boy, although it is really hard to tell.

Bulma wonders if the little boy might be Goku, but Yamcha insists Goku is dead. Bulma says nobody saw him dead, and then reminds him of what the Fortuneteller Crone said: "He is really such an amazing kid. Before long, he will rescue the whole world." Yamcha realizes it must be Goku, and they all get excited as they continue toward the battle grounds. Speaking of which, Piccolo is really pissed, and he starts powering up for something big. Then he shoots off a one finger blast from his right hand, missing, although a shot from his left hand knocks the Nyoi-Bō out of Goku's hand, breaking it. Piccolo says it is all over without that Nyoi-Bō, and then fires off a huge blast, causing a massive explosion.
