There was a Japanese laserdisc release of this movie, wasn't there? I'd say so, and if somebody here could manage to get ahold of that and record the SFX and BGM-only secondary audio track from it, mixing the "Original Soundtrack" side for this dub would be a hell of a lot easier.

Well, when it comes to the FUNi DVDs, whatever "grain" that could have been in the picture was gobbled up by chroma noise and other such annoyances when it was telecined and printed to composite digibeta tapes, which is what FUNi used for their DBZ DVDs.
