Getting Subbed showings for the new movie
As far as I know, we haven't really gotten a chance to see these movies subbed here in the United States and I am trying to start a petition to try and get Funimation to screen both subbed and dubbed versions of the movie so fans of the Japanese aren't left high and dry again. I am surprised there ...

Re: The manga's ending vs GT's ending
I understand what the manga was going for, but I don't think it was totally pulled off too well. I mean, the ending starts with Bulma complaining because Goku hasn't seen her in 5 years and then he flies off and we see the absolutely stunned reactions of his family as he flies off with a total ...

Re: What is the best fusion character?
I am not going to get into a bunch of hypothetical fusions here because that's not something I really enjoy doing, but I adore Gotenks. I love his creative techniques, and his chemistry with Piccolo is really something special. This super powerful kid who is arrogant and loves to show off is just ...

Re: The good and bad of Boo as a villain
1) Boo's ever-changing look and personality really aids the frenzied feeling of the final arc.
2) I like the role each plays. His first form is a typical Toriyama joke -- the eternal god-killing monster we've heard of for so much of the arc is this bizarre, cheerful genie thing -- but becomes ...

Not my favorite, but a very enjoyable cheesy villain.

The good and bad of Boo as a villain
I always felt like a lot of the discussion of the villains in Dragon Ball stay focused on a lot of the other more popular villains like Cell, Freeza, but I don't see a lot discussion about Boo as a villain. True, he is really inconsistent in terms of the way he behaves depending on what state he's ...

Probably their lack luster art skills or the transformations.

I say sigh-yan when I am among my but switch to saying Say-an when i am out in the real world so some smug guy doesn't try to correct and infuriate me.

Re: Are power levels Bullshit?
Of course putting a numerical value on someone's battle power isn't very helpful nor is it particularly interesting. There are times when somebody being much more powerful than they can reasonably be expected to be at some point can take you right out of the story, of course, but aside from that it ...

Is there an english release of the Bardock special in 4:3?
Hey guys, I was in a store the other day and saw the Bardock and Trunks specials on Blu-Ray, but they were unfortunately in 16:9 which is a deal breaker for me. Is there any reasonably priced releases with the English subs? The Dragon Boxes don't seem to have these specials.

You know the original Maximum Power Kame Hame Ha also had hand breakdance before even charging it?
Yeah, Kame Sen'nin broke it out when he put out the fire on Mt. Fry Pan, and other early Dragon Ball Kame Hame Ha's had this, but at least it went away and I cut it some slack for not having a ...

Re: Those weird little hand motions Trunks did...
Well, I won't deny that it looked super cool. I also admit that it makes me crack a smile at the cheese factor of it all, just ripping out everything to give Trunks the coolest intro possible. The strange thing is, in the anime, Freeza comments that the attack is just some low level blast. Yeah it's ...

Re: EOB or DB MINUS? Which hurt Gokuu's character more?
Well, I think a lot already undermines his character aside from this content. After all, not being born an elite but growing stronger through effort alone is a great lesson. However, by being born a Saiyan he already is born an elite considering we never see any other race even keep up. As a child ...

Those weird little hand motions Trunks did...
This has been bugging me for years, but why did Trunks do those weird hand motion things before firing that attack? Is he from Naruto? Does he know that you don't need those to do ki attacks in Dragon Ball? CAN SOMEONE HELP ME UNDERSTAND?! WHY DID HE ONLY DO IT ONCE?!

Re: SPOILER: About an upcoming villain
I literally believe Black Goku is going to be nothing but just a evil version of Goku, and I pray to God that I'm wrong.
One theory I have is that Black Goku is an anagram for real name of the new villain. Pretty much this, I feel like all my theories are just wishful thinking. Toriyama prides ...

Re: SPOILER: About an upcoming villain
Well wouldn't he be referred to as Kakarotto if he wasn't bumped on the head? Can't see why he would adopt Goku as a name, assuming that's his true title in the story. However, now that you mention it, I hope Toriyama does the Star Trek homage and give him a goatee. :) Right, but it could be Trunks ...

SPOILER: About an upcoming villain
So about Black Goku, I'm guessing we are dealing with Goku who never got dropped on his head, and thus retained his saiyan savagery and not evil goku with a goatee. What do you all expect.

Thanks, Herms! Is that all the info we have on Toei's thought process?
