I didn't know about that manga, I will check it out.

As to the point others are making about the tournament of power, it wasn't Goku's idea. It was Zeno's.

No, it was Goku’s.

If you go by the manga continuity, Zeno was just gonna delete 2/3rds of creation because they were bored. Goku suggested a tournament around that time and Zeno ...

I never particularly cared about Vegeta's a bloo bloo I was evil once I feel so bad about it I must redeem myself I'm going to hell anyway even if I do it stuff on Moro and Granola.
It feels kind of, fanon-y, for lack of a better descriptor.

Well.. yah. Because it is. Toyotaro was literally a ...

In my opinion Dragon ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT was good enough. There was no need to revive the anime.

DBS introduced a lot of good ideas, I give it that, but the writing was awful, they made the character look like complete idiots even if it contradicts how they would acts in the ...

So, I don't think Super was wrong to give Goku & Vegeta character flaws. The problem is that they're character flaws that don't make a ton of sense to be explored in a series set a few years after the Buu Arc. Super legitimately regressed Vegeta's character with him caring too much about besting ...

In Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Edward paid a huge price to gain someone back. In Hunter X Hunter Gon paid a huge price to gain huge powers to defeat the enemy. In My Hero Academia Deku paid a huge price to beat the enemy.

I am being vague on purpose to not mention anything spoiler about those ...

That is true if the anime team were given more time, it would have been better than the movie. Rushing anything out will always turn out bad. So retelling the movies wasn't an issue, but the time giving to the anime team.

Just check Sonic 06, a games wasn't given time to make and to make it worse ...

I found this website:

That was just the latest theatrical re-release. The extended cut of Battle of Gods has been available on home video since 2014. And there was a limited theatrical release in the US back in 2023, IIRC.

I wasn't aware that was the 2014 version that they released later on ...

It was actually released back in 2014.

I found this website:

https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2025-02-01/extended-dragon-ball-z-battle-of-gods-u.k-cinema-release-listed-online/.220716

The Odeon cinema website is listing the Extended version of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods (Dragon Ball ...

Making Beerus this darker force of nature was what Dragon Ball Super (2015) was doing, though? Like, am I having a stroke here? I could have sworn this was exactly the same thing that was done back in 2015.

It's also pretty bog standard directing to first introduce the new antagonist in a ...

I'm gonna be angry if they don't remaster the Future Trunks saga because that's the one saga that will improve TENFOLD if you give it better artwork and pacing. It would just be a missed opportunity.

Plus, I want to see the community's reaction if they cut 67 entirely and give Trunks a fairy ...

The difference between Dragon Ball slowing down and franchises from Disney is that Toei made the smart decision to do it while Dragon Ball was arguably at its highest in popularity during the tournament; they didn't run it into the ground then stop things like what happened with star wars for ...

I remember those days, if I miss an episode on TV then I have to wait for the episode to get a rerun. I remember rewatching some episode of GT on DVD, until I got the complete collection when I could watch all the episodes.

There's a thread for DBS: Beerus, you know.

I will keep DBS discussion ...

I watched the episode and I enjoyed it, visually it is way better than the original and pacing is way better. It is strange that there is no next episode previous, however that is no problem. Now I know what time the episode will be on next week.

At what time will Dragon Ball Super Remake appear?

This may not seem like a big deal, but having the characters in Dragon Ball grow up was a good thing. Just look at Pokemon it got boring seeing Ash never growing up and in Pokemon Black and White they reset his character and made him look like a amateur. To make it worse in Pokemon Black and White ...

OP looks very good.

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound very good lol it's like the most generic modern anime opening I could think of, no idea why they're all going for this style nowdays.

And what style would that be?

I don't see what is generic about the new opening about Dragon Ball ...

Soon Dragon Ball Super remake will get released, I am going to watch it. I believe I will enjoy it.

Who is going to watch the remake?

I think I am going to enjoy this remake of Dragon Ball Super.

I kind of hope the "Beerus as a virus infecting the Saiyans" idea gets revived. I'm not a fan of a race of people just being naturally violent or evil, but as a form of manipulation from a powerful person, there's at least some commentary to be had there. Perhaps reveal that Beerus ...
