Re: [Theory] The definitive proof that Future Goku NEVER learned Instant Transmission

Amazing. Of course Goku used instantaneous movement. Frieza says something along the lines of it will take an hour or two for his soldiers to destroy all human life on the planet. If Goku didn't teleport, then there would be no humans in Trunks's future.

1. There is no proof that Gero's robots ...

Re: Which was the better sequel: GT, Super, or Daima ?

I happen to like Daima quite a lot more and it's not even close. Both DBS and GT were massive disappointments. The problems people have with Daima, I do not share. Yes, Goku acts like a kid despite having the memories of being an adult. I assume the wish regressed his mind, not just his body. This ...

Re: All of Freeza's reasons for blowing up Planet Vegeta

It's just pure inconsistency and a clear retcon. I choose to look at it like many of the old Dragon Ball movies. Just different worlds, basically.

It's a shame too, because the original backstory was soooo good. What with the Saiyans getting their honor back was by defeating Frieza.

If you wanted ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Kai" Continuity?

Personally, I think old Z is dead in the eyes of Toei. It has been replaced by Kai. I seriously doubt Toei will ever re-release old Z in bluray format. It would be a waste of resources if they think Kai is the proper viewing release.

Furthermore, I lump GT in with the movie continuity, since ...

Re: Vegeta calling Goku the number 1

Doesn't Vegeta say he was watching the events on Earth happening while he was with King Yemma
It's how he found out about Goku's SS3 and was offended that Goku held back against Majin Vegeta. Vegeta's sentiment about Goku being number 1 was more about him admitting Goku will always reach new ...

He, along with the humans, must have peaked.

The saiyans have an advantage over everyone, because they can keep unlocking new transformations.

Re: Is there anything you've wanted from new DB that you have or haven't gotten? (DAIMA SPOILERS)

Well, I would like to see more of the 12 universes. Especially, the 4 we didn't see appear in the tournament of power. Unfortunately, we won't see them how they were envisioned by Toriyama, unless Toyotaru discussed them in emails with him. I'm happen we are ending his reign with a view into the ...

Re: Beerus and his dream of a rival Super Saiyan God

It certainly seems Vegeta is more in the process of becoming a destroyer god than Goku is, at least in regards to the manga and Ultra Ego. Goku, I don't see as having any interest in the job, even if it was necessary for the betterment of the universe. Goku is single minded in his own pursuit for ...

Re: How Good were the old Ocean Cast?

Does anyone else feel like the Ocean voice actors took a dive in quality after the Namek saga? At this point, Funimation's in-house actors already took over the voice acting roles for the U.S. airing, but Ocean would eventually record the rest of the series for the Canadian airing. I get the feeling ...

Re: Vegeta has no place in the story anymore

I'm sure Toriyama's editors and publishers were aware Vegeta sells a lot of toys. Maybe almost as much as Goku. So, they likely forced Toriyama to keep Vegeta in the forefront as a rival to Goku. If Goku gets a new form, Vegeta has to also. Maybe it doesn't serve the story Toriyama wanted to tell ...

I feel like a lot of things didn't seem planned, but were changed in the process of developing DBS. Just the idea of Goku being a rival to Beerus appears to have been abandoned completely.

Re: Beerus and his dream of a rival Super Saiyan God

Because this is the Beerus of the timeline where Goku survived, so the OT is simply irrelevant.

Broly is not important in the grand scheme of things. (and the same goes for Vegeta, never forget who's the MC and who's the sidekick)
however, the timeline split would have occurred some years after ...

Beerus and his dream of a rival Super Saiyan God

When we see Beerus's vision, the figure is so obscure that it could be Goku or Vegeta. However, could it possibly have been Broly? Remember in the original timeline, both Goku and Vegeta were killed, by a virus and androids respectively. So why would Beerus have a premonition of a rival who is ...

Vegeta started acting like a jerk after he saw Goku beat Yakkon. This was him intentionally baiting Babidi to cast the Majin spell on him.

Re: How did Cells timeline beat Boo? Did Bulma make another time machine?

This is another conundrum and ultimately why I don't like how the Future Trunks timeline handled Buu. Should have been that either Gohan or the Androids stopped Buu's resurrection. Or Babidi took Buu's egg and left Earth, then at some point Supreme Kai assassinated Babidi and Dabura bounced off to ...

I don't know, but it reminds me of the wrestling fandom a lot, where people just argue over who could beat who. Just enjoy the ride and try not to get emotional about it.

Re: 4 post-Boo sequels/stories

So far, I am really enjoying Daima the best. It remembers what makes Dragon Ball great, and, that is the characters. DBS and GT really dropped the ball and cast aside all the characters, except for Goku and Vegeta. And just introducing a new big bad villain and waiting for the heroes to unlock a new ...

Re: How skilled are Dragon ball characters as martial artist?

I actually got into that same argument with a Batman fan 10 years ago. "Batman has learned more martial arts styles, therefore he is more skilled," I believe he said. To that, I replied Goku was said to have displayed the most skillful martial arts the World tournament had ever seen and he has ...
