Further to that question, what subtitle displays for the title cards when watching the dub? The dub episode title, the Japanese episode title, no subtitle at all? For that matter, is there even a second subtitle track for the dub?
Not that it really matters, but I'm curious.

Regarding Blu-ray:
4:3 content on Blu-ray isn't unheard of. For the most prominent example I can think of in the US, Star Trek: The Original Series looks absolutely gorgeous, and it would have been a crime to decide not to release it because it wasn't 16:9.

This debate is made a lot more complicated by the tendency for American accents to make "o" as in "Bob" sound roughly the same as "a" as in "ball". With a British accent, the two sound distinctly different -- and if I had to say which is closer to the Japanese "o" sound out of "B o b" and "ph o ne ...
