Well.. it happened when i first saw Gohan`s SS2 transformation, the emotional discharge of finally letting go all that power combined with Unmei no Hi, which was the first time i even heard that song, still gets a tear to my eye even today.

Well, this kinda happened me 2 days ago, i was minding my own business at school when some kid starts singing the Dragonball Gt Portuguese Dub Theme Song.
Since i was getting tired of his singing skills, I started preaching him about choosing other songs to present me like "Blue Velvet" or " Zenkai ...

Would be just like Portugal, where the only way to watch the series is watching cable channel with terrible visual quality and a laughable dub.

The best: French Dub.

Very cool voices, not that far from the original Japanese lines (most of the time at least), feeling, etc...

Worst: European Portuguese Dub.

Well, they still release the movies here, in Portugal, only with the horrible Portuguese dub and VHS quality, but the complete series has never been released here.

I heard a rumor that the Euro. Portuguese dub of DBGT was better than the DB & DBZ dubs is this true?

I think they only left in japanese the last opening- Blue Velvet and the rest are the same music as the opening.

Yeah Castilian dub is quite bad especially since Goku's voice actor can't scream good at all, but I actually think that the Euro. Portuguese dub is worse to be honest.

Of course it`s worse, even if they have a cool voice-actor for Goku the rest doesn`t look appealing, we have the gayest voice ...

Everyone knows about the show and the characters, but that's just it. From the people I know, I'm the only one who took the time to read stuff and watch the original series and register on a message board to talk abou it :P

As far as Dragon Ball in portuguese goes, I am forced to buy the english manga. :roll: . But I really don`t mind since I`m confortable with english.

Finally a good Portuguese translation of the manga, even if I prefer reading in English ,it`s always good to see that our version is as good as the original.
