Is an OVA even possible at this point? Hasn't Toriyama-san stated that he was going to do one more anime and than call it quits?

Toriyama had little to do with the anime(other than designs), so his level of involment wouldn't make much of a difference, if that what you were thinking.

As for the "OVA".... what was the big deal anyway? It was just animated cutscenes for a video game that's it!

I would say that the "big deal" is a desire to be as complete as possible. Granted, no one is saying it's a masterpiece or anything, but it might be nice to see it avalible at the store.

Forgive me if this makes me sound stupid, but what are the problems with Disney's TV-show DVDs?
Nothing, Disney releases are generally of the highest quality. I think he's just saying that even the crappiest Disney shows get quality releases, while a piece of classic Japanese animation gets shit ...

Looks like it's the widescreen "remastered" bullshit with only the Spanish track and English subs. Apparently it's gotten released in Mexico this past month, as well. This just isn't looking good...

As for your comments about being ripped off as DBZ fans, I think for many, many people its just a "we give up" thing. There was a time when many of us were quite ready to rip FUNimation a new one (myself included) but for many of us, its been over 10 years of being upset at north american DBZ ...

DBZ is a horrible anime, weak inconsistant animation, long pauses where nothing happens, not even animation.
Tell me about it! I hate it when the animators get lazy and just put in random live-action sequences. Remeber the episode where Vegeta and Nappa first arrive on Earth? Pathetic...

I think I figured out the widescreen problem. Ok, so the Japanese raw footage has some more of the image then FUNimation showed. All FUNi has to do is put black lines over what they didnt show us before and poof, widescreen! It also shows more of the image this way on the right and lefts sides. So ...
