Re: Is this really Spike's last DBZ game?

I wish we could get a different dev to do a major Dragon Ball game. Some entirely new gameplay would be refreshing.

I kinda doubt it'll happen though. If Spikes games don't do well enough to contract em for more Dragon Ball then odds are Namco Bandai will probably think Dragon Ball games aren't ...

This alone has convinced me not to purchase the game. That's just ridiculous. Worse than drama pieces.

Yeah, it's unlikely. That's not really the point. I was just wanting to know how you guys would feel about it.

How would you feel if Funi continued Kai?

So lets say Kai is suffeciently successful in the US that Funimation wants to keep it going. I don't know how things really have faired but it's just an interesting scenario I would like to imagine.

So yes, Kai is over and Funimation wants more monies so they decide to maybe remaster the Buu saga ...

Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)

So is everyone sold on getting this game?
As slick as these animated scenes appear, personally it's just not much motivation for me to get the game. Personally I prefer in game cut scenes. Switching to animation and then in engine graphics is jarring. I'd probably be more appreciative of these ...

Re: A Fellow Member Converts

I joined back in 2009. I pretty sure I had learned to appreciate and enjoy the original Japanese version by then. Still, my story is similar. I enjoyed the dub a lot and I had only previously seen some clips of the japanese version and decided to stick with English from there after hearing the ...

Re: Your top 10 Dragon Ball games and why

Not sure I can think of ten...

7. Budokai
The only reason this game enven makes it on the list is because it's the only Dragon Ball game that even got cut scenes right. Other wise it's a so so fighter

6. Tenkaichi
A new way to play Dragon Ball Z, it was pretty exciting back then. The combat was ...

Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)

Just how many times can possibly play through the Dragon Ball Z series? It was getting old five years ago. Now it's just overkill. I likely wont be getting this just because of that. That and it appears to be using the same combat system of Raging Blast and Tenkaichi.

I'd like a new experience ...

Re: HD Remakes of DBZ Games

DBZ games don't have the kind of audience to support HD ports of old games to new consoles. It's not a giant game franchise like Metal Gear Solid or Prince of Persia that can pull the kind of numbers to make HD ports make sense, especially considering recent DBZ game sales.

I did this like almost five years ago but I think it might have been a lino... It was a part of an asignment in an art class so it was with material I've never used prior or after.

Re: Toei Officially Acknowledges Yamamoto's Kai Rip-Offs

My only concern with KiKuchi's score being brought in is, will it fit how the scenes are edited in Kai?

I think this is the third time I've seen this point be brought up here, and I still don't get it. The scores for the DB television series were never written for specific moments or episodes to ...

Re: Budokai Collection and Tenkaichi Collection for PS3?

I feel like Microsoft has said in the past that they aren't interested in HD-remakes of their last gen games (rumors of a Halo C.E. remake not withstanding), but Sony is clearly all for it. :P

But, beyond that, Blu-rays hold a lot more data. You can get three DVDs worth of PS2 games onto a Blu ...

Re: Capsule Corp Ship lander

No, but that does remind me, does anyone remember that Dragon Ball game that use to be on the cartoonetwork site? I don't remember what it was called but the graphics actually looked pretty good. Like, I'm pretty sure they just used the sprite and backgrounds from one of the super famicom games. It ...
