Movie titles

1: is called “Dead zone”
Which was misleading as everyone thought it would be the pioneer dub especially as it was the first to be aired.

6: “Fight 10 Billion Power Warriors”

No exclamations after “Fight” either so it’s just one sentence…
A misleading one at that
They’re not ...

Don’t ask me why but I have a soft spot for these dubs and the GT one.
In fact I think the sub par dub actually made me enjoy the horrible mess that was GT.

I can’t believe I didn’t remember this as I listened to the episode a few weeks back.

Right, I’ve finally started on the GT special.

Little titbit:
In every movie they say “super warrior” instead of Saiya-jin or Saiyans, in fact the only reference to these names are in the titles where they write Saiya (no jin.)
For example "The batttle of three Saiyas" used for movie 7

Well in ...

These guys always have at least one in stock. It’s a UK seller based in Japan and will ship worldwide, only problem is it’s around 42 dollars.

I don’t know if 40 dollars equals the feeling of spending 40 pounds but if it does I wouldn’t waste it on this.

Edit: the eBay link breaks the page so I ...

The same reason Shadow the Hedgehog and Venom are populer. Emo angst filled god like creatures who have a mysterious pasts that just keep on whining about there own problems. Kids like angst and power I guess. Not to mention cool in the U.S most of the time is how "X-TREAME" something is therefore ...

I would recommend the first three books of the Dragon Ball (not Z) manga.

At a penny shy of a fiver, they're decently priced and they'll get you into the story from the very start. It's fun and addictive collecting them.

On the other hand you could probably find a copy of the Budokai 3 PS2 game ...

Dogasu really misses the point about the term “betteru”. I’m actually very good friends with the person who came up with the term. It has nothing to do with being anti-Japanese and is more of a joke than any serious statement about ones preferences to which version they prefer.

The term is used ...

Sorry guys no clips today.

The next movie on the VHS is the GT special, I remember this being one of their best dubs actually (I probably got use to their absurdity.)
And having re-watched the first few minutes, I have to say it probably is… regardless of the narrator saying “Son Agoku” and voice ...

Wow, I didn't know uk had their own DB dub as well.
It's the same as the Big Green dub, isn't it?
I mean the acting, the cast and the name changes are the same (horrible).

It seems that AB has dubbed the DB movies in English as well. -__-

All the DB movies,
Up to DBZ movie nine,

Re: Prospects for New Specials

I wouldn’t mind if like Oda for the movies, Toriyama designed the characters or at least had some sort of major involvement with it. However I draw the line at taking away screen time from the characters we know and have seen grow over the span of the series for a character we will only see for 90 ...

Earliest memory would be in 2000 whist visiting my grandmother, sure was a visual treat.

The sky was pink,
There was a blue guy,
A man with a halo was chasing a monkey running around an incredibly small planet
And a car.

The volume was incredibly low so I couldn’t even understand what was going on ...

Sorry, can’t help you even if I tried.
Toonami aired the last episode last week and then rather than starting at the beginning, went back to the fusion saga.
So with only two episodes per day, it will be quite a wait till they get to the episodes you want.
