In the Cell Games, Cell was giddy to fight Goku, going out of his way to point how entertaining their fight was being.
After they were both dead, couldn't they have kept doing that? Goku could go to hell if he wished, and up to that point in the writing, if Cell killed him there, nothing would happen.

Like that time he teleported away from Semiperfect Cell, despite openly stating he was currently way weaker than him. If he didn't have Tenshinhan & Piccolo to grab and save, could he have stayed and held his own, making up for his own lack in speed with teleporting, and his lack of power with SSJ ...
