Re: Buu's Forms and their Titles

Thanks for helping out, I guess the Pure doesn't really mean anything other than that he returned to his original form.

Buu's Forms and their Titles

In several guidebooks for the manga, anime, and video games gives the name of Majin Buu's forms in brackets, for example Fat Buu is listed as Majin Buu (Good) and while three I understand (Good, Pure Evil, and Evil), the one I don't get is Kid Buu or Majin Buu (Pure). The part I don't understand is ...

Re: Is DBZKai a reliable translation?

There are still occasional small differences in dialogue between the manga and Kai, even in Japanese, and the Funi dub is better than it's ever been but still pretty liberal at time.

A good example being in the dub, Cell mentions that he can use every technique in Goku arsenal from "Kamehameha to ...

As far as I know, you're right on the money. All of Cell's stolen techniques come from his...well, his cells, and he had those ever since his creation. There is no logical reason for him to have form-specific moves that aren't his own.

Question about Cell

I'm a bit confused about the attacks Cell can use. For example on both the Dragon Ball wiki and the Dragon Ball Encyclopedia wiki separate the techniques Cell can use by form, although they state in his Imperfect form that he "has the power of his genetic materials at the time their DNA has been ...

Re: The Chōzenshū databook thread: speculation, discussion,

I forgot to ask in the "Design Library" does it character sheets for Kid Buu, Bibidi, the three Supreme Kais and the Grand Supreme Kai, and the Giant Worms that appeared in Super Buu's stomach. I know in Daizenshu 5 it was mentioned in the next time section, but were never covered in the ...

Re: The Chōzenshū databook thread: speculation, discussion,

I decided to go to Kinokuniya in New York today and was shocked to see the chozenshu on display! Here's all you need to know!

Cover: Daizenshuu 6

Dragon Ball GT Story Guide: Each page has 3 acts. No new illustrations, however. Everything is ...

Re: The Chōzenshū databook thread: speculation, discussion,

It looks like the Library of Adventure has been reprinted for this volume based on picture my seller sent me. I'd send the picture but I can't seem to get the function to work on this site.

It's too small for me to make out but on the last Bardock page is the page number 65 or 165.

Re: The Chōzenshū databook thread: speculation, discussion,

Hmm...Daizenshuu 7 is 313 pages long, so assuming this one doesn't throw in anything from another daizenshuu, that's 39 new pages.
Is there anything in Daizenshu 7 that could be cut, like the colored chapters or the Library of Adventures (so far anyway)?

I was comparing the 2nd volumes page ...

Re: The Chōzenshū databook thread: speculation, discussion,

Updated information for the 4th Chozenshu from Amazon. The ISBN is 9784087824995 (the ISBN for this volume hasn't been posted in the databook section of this site) and like the previous Chozenshu volumes the page count is 352.

Re: Unpopular DB opinions

A lot of people seem to consider movies 4 and 11 of DBZ to be the worst of the films (going off of general reviews and from the unofficial guide that was released by Pojo) although I didn't really find anything wrong with them. I also didn't hate GT, sure it could be considered Toei's attempt to ...

Re: What's the difference between an Arc and a Saga

Thanks for the explanation. With the pacing in Dragon Ball Z with some of it's arc's it feels more like a saga. Kai however did make it feel more like an arc than a saga.

Re: Alternate timeline question

In chapter 357 Trunks also mention that he could go back in time and prevent Gero from activating 16, 17 and 18 in Goku's timeline, but it wouldn't cause them to disappear in their timeline but instead create another timeline were they didn't exist.

What's the difference between an Arc and a Saga

I've been wondering this for quite a while now, but what is the difference between an Arc and a Saga. I ask this because Funimation and Viz seem to use saga when referring to a storyline within Dragon Ball/Z/GT although other sites refer to them as arcs instead of sagas.

Re: Problems with the VAs in Z Kai?

I seem to remember hearing that Mr. Sabat blew out his voice during a recording session (though I think he mentioned that it wasn't actually Kai), and so he had to rest for a few weeks. I also seem to remember hearing that some of the script writers changed for some reason, though I'm not entirely ...
