Funny thing is I didn’t exactly email them to cancel I emailed them asking if I could cancel. If they didn’t respond or they got snippy I was ready to cancel my debit card (which is almost physically worn out) and get a new one😏
Well it looks like you can cancel it. I emailed them a second ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Batman TAS looks sharper because they actually kept the 35mm masters. As for the darkness, many who worked on the show have said that it was created on black paper using light colors completely against industry standards.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Oh I still have my Batman TAS DVD’s. And while they may look closer to the original broadcast they’re terribly encoded (they may even edge out the terrible encoding of the DBZ single dvd’s) and interlaced to hell. I mean I’m almost all for original intent but once I saw those episodes restored from ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Off the topic I know but many pages ago someone mentioned excessive DNR on Batman TAS. I'm assuming by extension that goes for the movies as well. Because I remember getting my Mask of the Phantasm blu ray and thinking it looked quite blurry. But I could never tell whether that intentional because ...

Re: Best Way to Back-Up Dragon Boxes?
I lucked into a lot of good DVD+R DL sales on verbatim around 2009. As I got the boxes (yes even box 2) I backed some of them up 1:1 to DVD+R DL.

Lol, that might actually work for Goku's English voice.B wrote:Chris Pratt as Goku. Anyone who has watched Parks & Recreation can probably see why that is a match made in Heaven.

Re: Dragon Box Z 2 for $500?!
I'm just glad I bought all of them when they each came out. I'd have figured it would be Box 3 not 2 that would be the one that was insanely marked up. But I should have know it would be the episodes they boched up the most in the orange box.

The title is misleading, I should have said Ryūsei Nakao played characters that both killed Krillin.

Funimation Singles Deinterlaced found a way
This maybe worthless now that the Dragon Box Z's are available, but I'm going to share it with everyone anyway. I've been doing some tinkering with Handbrake's setting on the Funimation Singles and I found out how to just about totally deinterlace the video. Here are the settings, first you go to ...

Ryūsei Nakao played characters that both killed Krillin.
It just hit me a little while ago, Ryūsei Nakao played characters that both killed Krillin. First was Tambourine in Dragon Ball ep.101 and the second one was of course Freeza in Dragon Ball Z ep.95. I wonder if this was just a coincidence or some kind of inside joke.

Re: How Many Times Have You Bought DBZ?
2 times over, but the Dragon Box Z's are really my first full collection of the series. I have most of the singles, but I never finished the Cell Game singles I'm missing the last two Buu singles and I have none of the Sayianman saga singles. I heard about the Japanese Dragon Box Z's in 2003 so I ...

Re: Macroblocking on the Cell Games Single DVD's
Thanks, but if anyone who has those last few DVD's of the Cell Games from just the single editions could just post some more comparisons or else tell me where I can find those last few cheaply online besides ebay. Also I never realized just how bad Funimation bleached the colors in the Orange Boxes ...

Macroblocking on the Cell Games Single DVD's
I've heard that macroblocking was especially prevalent on the Cell Games Singles. I myself don't have these DVD's as I stopped collecting the singles in late 2002/early 2003 when funimation decided to concentrate on other series and leave the Cell Games unfinished. I have all the dragon boxes so I ...
