I have the tree of might in this dub,
I felt kind of confused and dazed(if you know what i mean : /)
After watching the whole film.

The dub just made it seem very strange and abstract.

He said RECENT, not DECENT. But about those DVDs, do they have the japanese language tracks and some decent subs? (Has nothing to do with the discussion, but anyway.)

Haha, yeah, they are ridiculously far away from being decent. I mean, Kuririn's voice is passable, but... well, that's about it (plus it would've fit Goku better, and Goku's Norwegian voice is incredibly bad). The second movie has a CHA-LA karaoke (that is, they cut Kageyama's singing and didn't replace it with anything), which I cool enough, I guess.

They have japanese audio, but since I already owned the Pioneer discs, I never really checked it out. I wouldn't assume a high-quality translation, though.

This was Bridge Entertainment.

I remember finding a DVD whilst on holiday in Holland of all places. It was in English, of movie 9, and they managed to fit in "you will most definitely pay for that my friend" into one, 2 second, mouth movement from Gohan. I was shocked to say the least.

And then, in the UK because we're cheap, we got these DVDs as they were obviously the cheapest.

Man, the UK got messed up, Original Ocean cast for Seasons 1 and 2. Funi for Season 3. Ocean again for seasons 4-the end. With changing actors throughout. Then Birdge Studios for the films. And added onto that, Blue Water Studios for Dragonball and DBGT. BW is a subsection of Ocean, but its still different voice actors.

Also, the name's a messed up. Krillin is Klaren. Piccolo is Big Green, and I remember also Bulma having the voice of a gossiping housewife, not a smart-ass tech wizard.

Wow, sorry lol. First, calm down a bit

I know it must be stressful, but given that this dub isn't as widely known as say, the SABAN/Pioneer release, its not as bad as someone saying the same regarding them, ie. "Pioneer's dub", when it wasn't their dub.

Sorry, as it said on the Youtube, they're done by AP Groupe, and Bridge Entertainment I guess published it for the Netherlands and in the UK. At least saying Bridge is slightly closer to the truth than calling this; a "Uk Dub".

Yes, but... its wrong.

Even if for matter's sake, you use it just for easy riding, it isn't the correct term. It's like, perhaps calling a Ferry a Boat. It isn't a boat, its a ferry. And whilst Boat can, colloquially and simply, work, its good to learn to use the proper term.

We all get what someone means by saying "Pioneer Dub", they mean the episodes released by Pioneer, but it wasn't dubbed by Pioneer, simple as that. I could also call it the VHS dub, since its the only one of that season available on VHS, but it isn't a "VHS Dub" is it?

Its unfair to give one company incorrect credit, especially if negative; "I hate the Pioneer Dub!!!11" they're blaming the company; Pioneer for something which isn't their fault, especially when in fact, Pioneer were behind the uncut releases as well.

Its the "Ocean Dub", none of that pretentious bullcrap you were quoting, just the "Ocean Group", as they were the people who dubbed it. Bleh.

It doesn't bother me, so this is mostly a seperated, empathetic post, but I'm just explaining why its the wrong term to use.

I dissagree, the UK is expencive. Americans get DVDs for around $24 which is about £12, we get them for £20. Though if youm ean cheap as in tight shits about making stuff, then you'd be right, we're getting Naruto with Dubtitles now

Yeah, pretty much. We price higher here in the UK, but in terms of the country importing, etc. it doesn't spend much money on what it think it doesn't need. Because there wasn't a massive interest in DBZ in the UK compared to America, less money/care was spent on it. As is in general with anime in the UK, ever noticed how the Naruto DVDs actually say; "Unleased" on the side of the box, not "Unleashed" lol.

I just buy the American DVDs, FUNi's DVDs are regions 1, 2 and 4. So Meh.
