Actually, destroying the solar system is feasible, most likely by the time of the Freeza saga. All you need to do is destablize the system star's core. Either make it go Super Giant (which, while not destroying it out right, would wipe us out) or make it go Super Nova which would obliterate the entire system right quick.Drunken Master wrote:How would he destroy a solar system...? Blow up? He did, and only took out a small star. Kid Buu easily blew up Earth, but he can't destroy a solar system or galaxy or he would have back in the day, or even when he fought Goku and company.

Well, to bad Cell wasn't planning to destroy it that way.Xyex wrote:Actually, destroying the solar system is feasible, most likely by the time of the Freeza saga. Cell said he had the power to destroy the "ENTIRE" Solar System.

- Calling Cell's statement a lie was clearly sarcasm on my part.
- The fact that it isn't a lie utterly destroys your argument, because Broly obviously isn't many thousands of times stronger than Cell.
- No one in dragonball is even feasibly that powerful, let alone...Broly.
EDIT: That would destroy the "entire" solar system...

It doesn't contradict the manga. What you are saying contradicts the manga. The facts not only force this form of interpretation in order to make any coherent sense of anything, but their narraration, in addition to Kaiosama's statement, are paradoxical within their own continuum, effectively forcing a decision between nonsense, and nonsense. I choose the side which actually fits into the power scale.
...
It is not stated how Cell planned to destroy a solar system, but considering that he was capable of the kind of havoc that could lead to such destruction without stretching it to the "Zomg hes unstopable and FTL!!11!" level.
But as for the galaxy thing... just putting it out there that what I see isn't a debate so much as "Nuh uh!" "Uh huh!" "Nuh uh!" "Uh huh!".
Yah... I'm leaning toward "No, Broli decidedly didn't destroy the entire galaxy in a matter of seconds", but I will still ask what we know about the planets Goku visited while pursuing Broli... did we know for certain what galaxy they were in? Did we see the sky (if so, was it day or night, were stars visible, etc?)? If I remember correctly we didn't see much of anything...
But if Kid Buu had to destroy planets one by one, and it took less to beat Broli than it did to beat Kid Buu in terms of raw power... well, I think it's obvious where I'm going with this.
Though, Kid Buu may just have been checking every planet for Goku and Vegeta before destroying them.

When Goku teleported from Kaio's planet, he clearly aimed for the South Galaxy, as he even had to ask Kaio which direction it was. So yes, the first planet we see Goku arrive at while searching is in the allegedly destroyed same galaxy. Paragus also states, IIRC, that New Vegeta is in the South Galaxy and is the only planet of life the legendary Super Saiyan hasn't wiped out. For the record, I interpret the beginning as aforementioned representation too. >>caejones wrote:but I will still ask what we know about the planets Goku visited while pursuing Broli... did we know for certain what galaxy they were in? In the Dragonball Z Anime it shows Kid Buu destroying an Entire Galaxy. This was when Kaioushin was talking about Majin Buu being restored. But if Kid Buu had to destroy planets one by one, and it took less to beat Broli than it did to beat Kid Buu in terms of raw power... well, I think it's obvious where I'm going with this. Haters indeed - of asinine arguments without any proof.
Cell's powerful enough to destroy a solar system. Sure. We have no way of knowing, but we'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he could do it.
So, what does that prove exactly? Broli destroyed some planets, but that's not really indicitive of being stronger than Cell - Freeza could destroy planets, hell, Vegeta destroyed Arlia before he got to Earth.
Preemptive retort: No, Broli did not destroy an entire galaxy. Yes it shows that at the beginning of movie 8, but minutes later (and for the remainder of the movie) actually see the characters in the southern galaxy. So it didn't happen. We are shown, and explained, later that Broli did just what Freeza did, went around destroying planets.

Listen guys... Brolly is Cell. They are the same person. They both can breath in space. They both can destroy galaxies. They both are insanely strong.
I am being insanely sarcastic now.
There is no way Super Perfect Cell is weaker than Brolly. I agree with the theory that he at his power, when it is maximum, is probably a bit less than Perfect Cell´s power before super perfection.
Of couse Brolly looks strong, he throws everyone around and their hits doesn´t affect him. But that doesn´t mean that he is the strongest villain in the whole series! It´s like saying that Freezer is the strongest villain because of that he was superior.
Don´t you really think that Goku (or any Saiyan), in movie 8, if he had gone SSJ2 he would have easily beaten Broly?
Just my thousand cents.

Guys I personally think we should all ignore Phenomonol and his "little gem comebacks". At the end of the day, his stance boils down to this:

Jerseymilk: "Can I tell you something?"

Jerseymilk: "I see Fangirls."
Oh, I think he's actually trying. He just... umm... *tries to think of a nice way to put it*. Awe, screw it: he's not smart. Sorry.
Um, to make this post useful, I'll... umm... speculate on Broli as a product of the RoSaT.
. The whole deal at the city and the school was a dangerroom simulation to teach Goku and Gohan about reactions to odd circumstances *cough*Kuririn'ssinging. Of course, this would mean that Vegeta, Trunks and Kuririn would be allusions, which would explain Vegeta acting like a ... pussy. Though it'd probably open other holes (like why Piccolo and Vegeta were interacting if it was the Goku and Gohan show, among other things). Maybe Broli was the spirit of the original LSSJ, trapped in the RoSaT, and given memories about Kakkarot because of Goku's "ten months when [he] was a kid".
So because of the "give me your energy!" thing that Goku used to defeat Broli, Broli was actually absorbed into Goku's body (Just so you know, I don't necessarily believe anything I'm saying...). So when Goku blew up on the Kaio planet, Broli was fused with Cell... or something (or maybe it was in that big Kamehameha, explaining how Cell's nucleus was moved around). So super perfect Cell was so powerful because he was part Broli.
. So then when all of Cell's victims were wished back, Broli came back as well, but since he was spiritually messed up, he wound up wandering the Earth Buu's Fury style and getting frozen or whachever so that movie10 can happen.
And of course, Movie11 doesn't work in the slightest, unless 18 scammed Satan at another tournament before the Buu Saga (which explains where she was in movie 10?).
... Wait, this post was supposed to be _useful_. Meh, I give up.

Wrong! It IS SHOWN and STATED that Broli blew up a Galaxy. Just because their is a couple of planets their doesn't mean he did not destroyed a Galaxy (IE a few billion stars and planets).Preemptive retort: No, Broli did not destroy an entire galaxy. Cell saying he can destroy a solar system is not proof. If that's all it took we would have proof that Vegeta was an SSJ on Namek, that Vegeta was stronger than Freeza on Namek, and that Cell was stronger than Gohan. All of this, however, was proven false. Stating it doesn't mean it's true.Phenomenol wrote:The Proof is STATED in the Manga........READ IT.
Yep, he did. One planet at a time.Phenomenol wrote:Broli destroyed a "GALAXY."
Answer me this. If he BLEW UP THE GALAXY how the hell did any of the planets survive, let alone a star and a comet that didn't even have it's course altered by this explosion strong enough to destroy a galaxy.Phenomenol wrote:Wrong! It is stated in canon that Cell had the power to destroy the Solar system! It was stated that Cell had more ki than Gohan. WITHOUT Vegeta's help Gohan and the Solar System would have died.Xyex wrote:Cell saying he can destroy a solar system is not proof.
