*sigh*. What facts, exactly, are being ignored? I mean... haven't other facts been put forward (from the movie) that support the "Broli destroyed a galaxy. ... in chunks." view that don't contradict the sole fact that is put forward for otherwise?

Yes, Broli destroyed a galaxy. Does the movie right out say he did it all at once? Well... does it?

It is STATED and shown in the movie, period.

Also, while we're talking about Broli and Cell, I'd like to add that Cell has the power around that of a Super Saiyajin 2, which can be proven very easily through the lightning aura he acquires.

This puts Cell ahead of Broli, no matter how many galaxy destroying self contradictions you put out there. Why, you ask?

The Legendary Super Saiyajin stage is much like Super Saiyajin 3rd Grade, just that there is a gainage of speed instead of loss. This gives Broli the brute force to have a fair battle with Super Perfect Cell or Super Saiyajin 2 Gohan.

However, Cell would easily have the upper hand due to his techniques such as Shukanido, Makkankosappo, and the like.

Broli, on the other hand, can only control basic ki. Notice how he never changes up his attack, it's always the same ki orb or barrier. He doesn't have enough concentration to build up his ki. Sure, it explodes, so what?

Cell can regenerate from one cell, and along with the Saiyajin Loss bonus, he comes back even stronger. If Broli slipped up even once (not knowing Cell would regenerate, which he wouldn't) he would be done for.

So by your logic, even if Broli can destroy galaxies, Cell is even stronger.

If you folks can't keep it civil, I simply won't allow these types of conversations to continue.

Phenomenal, maybe you should take a step back and realize that you're the single reason that these types of arguments take place, and that you've been banned from other forums for the same type of activity. Maybe there's a reason for that? I dunno? Anyone? Bueller...?

What the hell is the thread about? Why are we even discussing this galaxy business?

"Is Broli stronger than Cell?" Easy, the answer is "no". Broli was destroyed by Goku who was of similar power to the Goku who couldn't beat Cell before Cell received the power up from being near-dead.

Can this end now?

Did the scene actually show it happening in one shot, or just in a really short space of time? Remember that in the 22nd tournament 8 attacks tended to look like one to the untrained eye. So really, the scene in question only proves that a galaxy was destroyed. Not how, which is why this argument can happen at all.

But yah... it's pretty much decided that Cell>Broli.

I agree there. It could have happened for a long time until Kaio-sama found out. And yes it vanished, but there is no darn proof for it to have happened during a short moment. Krillin could aswell destroy a whole galaxy but it woul d take him countless years to do the job.

But it seems unlikely. A galaxy is HUGE. Even an asteroid is several times bigger than Brolly, not to count the size of the planets and stars and the endless distances that Brolly has tro travel. Since he doesn´t know instant tranmission he can´t destoy the galaxy so fast. No matter his powerlevel.
Even if he could travel in the speed of light it would take him probably a hundred years (depending on the size of the galaxy) to reach from one side to another.
That´s why I don´t think he destroyed the whole galaxy.

Exactly my point from earlier. If it had been destroyed in just one blast they would have shown an explosion somwhere and then a single wave of destruction washing out from that point. They didn't. They showed it disintegrating in chunks. Thus Brolly didn't just fire a shot and blow it up like Freeza did with Namek or Buu did with Earth. He went around wiping it out planet by planet.

The only one ignoring the facts around here is you, Phenomenol.

It feels, to me, that what we see isn't the destruction of the Galaxy by Broli in real-time, but King Kai's sudden realisation that all life there has been wiped out- and the representation of it's destruction in his mind. King Kai is simply flashing a mental image of the Galaxy's destruction- how he sees it.

If Paragus expects Broli's ass to be fried by the arrival of that comet, then how do you expect Broly to shield himself after he does a massive energy blast (followed by the explosions of all the planets) that destroys the whole galaxy simultaneously?

Fact: The planets on which the events in Movie 8 take place are in the South Galaxy.

Fact: Omnicient means all knowing, Ominipresent means everywhere at once. North Kaio is capable of neither. Saying he is either or both is stupid.

If said movie takes place in the South Galaxy, then it was not entirely destroyed by Broly. Simple as that. Showing the galaxy blown up was a premonition of what could happen in the long run if Broly was not stopped. Saying otherwise is, again, stupid.

While being held underwater by Freeza, as the tyrant tried to drown him, Son Goku saw his friends and family laughing and the planet earth exploding. IT WAS IN THE ANIME, IT MUST HAVE HAPPENED!!

Nope, another case of a worst case scenario premonition if Freeza was not stopped.

Goku, while under the influence of the medicine, and trying to recover from the heart virus saw Android 17 and Android 18 kill Gohan and Krillin, then Chi-chi. IT WAS IN THE ANIME, IT MUST HAVE HAPPENED!!

Nope, another worst case scenario premonition if the Androids were not stopped.

Let's get a grip on the fictional reality, and accept that the Galaxy blowing up scene was a premonition, not and actual event taking place. Let's debate the topic title and not get hung up on silly side issues that aren't issues at all.
