Hey who could tell, I really don't know your icon isn't actually you because I don't know what you look like. But if I were to put an icon of someone dressed in a bunnie outfit, I would expect people to think that was me.

Anyway, misinformation, yadda yadda, you're oh so knowledgeable? I mean come on, you're the one taking things a bit too seriously, coming here with scientific explanations, you are the scientist of DBZ, what an honor! What are we arguing about anyway? We were talking about picture quality. What's to be "misinformed" about, which color schematic I like better? Now you're telling me my posts are long. Well I guess if you learned how to read, I wouldn't have to keep making the same posts over and over again. You know, I'm done arguing with you in particular, I don't come here to argue, but whenever I say something, I have wonderful little "knowledgeable" DBZ gurus like you jumping all over me...actually nobody but you really jumped on me, I'm having a nice conversation in the other Threads that don't involve childish behavior and name-calling "mr. poopy pants!" And they sure don't contain little faces like >_> or whatever. I sincerely hope you're not actually doing that at your computer. Anyway, I'm done with you because clearly you are not an educated person so I think I'll choose just to ignore you. Thanks for the convo, bye.

Yeah, I am. I'd rather be knowledgable, and be able to support that knowledge with fact, than be ignorant and stubborn. You've brought nothing but incorrect assumptions to this thead, then get pissed because I'm saying the Real Media bootlegs you downloaded from DaBlackGoku aren't exactly reference materials.

And the thing some people seem to be missing in these threads (there's at least one more besides this one going on) is the difference between opinion and fact.

What is fact is that the Japanese releases have the original color schemes, the original aspect ratios, proper damage and dirt removal, and no grain removal, while the American releases have considerable color and brightness alterations, incorrect aspect ratios, grain removal, and little to no damage and dirt removal.

Everything else is opinion. (Unless I forgot something, but you get the point.)

I don't know but I'd rather have Funimation's movies rather than the dragonbox movies, even with the oversaturation and brightness level changes. Though I'm not fine with the TV series releases, I thought the movies were well done. I think it's the price and availibity factor too. No this is not like the season sets, but If price wasn't a factor, I'd buy the Dragonbox the Movies version. But I mean, I brought all of the movies I didn't have at the rightstuf sale for 47 bucks total. And that was the First Strike boxset, Movies 7-10, and 13. And the 4:3 thing doesn't bother me. At least we are actually gaining some picture(even if it was meant to be cropped). Other than that I'm absolutely fine with Funimation's movie releases. Though I rather that they did not mess with the footage, I'll still support and back the original release of the movies.

I'm not buying the remastered movies though since everybody knows it's coming. If I were you I'd buy all of the movies before it was too late.

Well (Bitrates aside) Funimation's movie releases were fine, I'm unsure about picking the ones up that I don't own, because in the end I'll either have to buy the pioneer releases of movie 2 and 3 (no first strike box was released here) or just settle for the inevitable widescreen movie box set, because I already got screwed with the ultimate uncuts, I don't want to pay for what I already own..again.
