Or maybe retrospective interviews. I mean on the Batman Animated Series/Superman Animated Series/Batman Beyond/Justice League/Justice League Unlimited sets, they have some really cool and interesting retrospectives on the shows. Even if it's not behind-the-scenes, they go back and show you old footage that didn't make it into the show, storyboards, some voice directing clips, etc. None of that?

By the way, the Menus look like the start of the really old Mega Man games lol The Episode selection looks good. The colors are a bit odd to me in terms of the box covers, BUT, still good. That Dragon Book it comes with is awesome. Now why couldn't FUNimation release something like that? On the "Remastered" sets, the book is useless. Episode summaries on the episodes you're about to watch, and BS character summaries.

The only mocking of the US version was done on the last disc of the DragonBall DragonBox, wherein they made fun of edits in the English version.

Coincidentally, the edit happened with the Ocean dub. I mean of course, when they're putting it on TV for children. Was it really mocking, or just...showing the edit vs unedited?

I think it was just showing the censorship in the dub from America. Not going "HA HA LOOK AT THOSE AMERICANS" but that's just my guess.

Actually, it did. The text only described the changes made, but the music clearly was indicating that it was making fun of the edits (2 from the Ocean dub, 2 from the FUNi dub).

Here in the land of the United States, we don't purposely expose our children to asses, penises, and whatnot, drawn or not.

Probably because in there culture it just seems silly to worry about exposure of penis and naked butt as long as it’s in a non sexual way. Basically it would be the equivalent to us laughing at how the Japanese eat raw fish or how they go to school 6 out of 7 times a day. It's actually just silly culture bashing in a sense.

First of all, DBZ doesn't have any severe curing lol And I don't know what kind of cartoon is targeted for 18 year olds and plus. I don't think that's the target audience in Japan. I'm just curious if they actually know that Dragon Ball was remade uncut in the US.

Yup, it's just as I remembered. Nothing special.

It's just this title card showing the American Flag then it shows the Pathos of Frieza recap and title card in english with Falconer's music. So you're really not missing anything.

Don't worry about what Corey said. He was just quoting the subtitles from when fansub groups from back in the day like anime labs would always make all of the character's swear up a storm.

About the Dragonboxes. Here's the thing, I can see them making fun of the edits because they were pointless but did they do it in an "offensive" way. Such as does it make it look like, "Look what those evil Americans did to our Dragonball!"? And do they realize that those edits are virtually non-existent now and even when the Dragonbox came out?
