OK, so I made the following edits and revisions:
I already filled in the holes in the Vegeta story for the parts I couldn't read before, so those are all done.
I added the title and staff for the Vegeta story to my translation of the first page. Something to note is that the title says "Saiya" rather than "Saiyan". This is because in the Japanese it says saiya rather than saiya-jin. I don't really know why it's like that. At the end of the story, Vegeta says the title almost word for word, except he actually does say saiya-jin, not saiya like in the title. Weird.
For both stories, the staff's names are in Western order (personal name-surname).
For page 5 of the Vegeta story, I took out the "Not choosing measures in order to win", because I still can't figure out what it means. I also went back and translated tesshi kirenai as "soft", since I think Terra-jin is probably right.
For the first page of Trunks, I put in "on the way out" for 途中すれ違った, which is my best guess for what it means. In the manga, before the Cell Games Piccolo went into the Room of Spirit and Time to train, then Vegeta, and then Trunks. So with that in mind, since in the Trunks story Vegeta is going into the Room, then Piccolo should be coming out.
I took off the < > marks from "Room of Spirit and Time", and changed them to italics for "pure-blooded Saiyan".
So I'd say I'm totally finished with the translations for both stories.

Sort-of-update:
Not yet done, there is constant sabotage.

But should be done soon.
Anyway, Herms, the Vegeta-special artist and authour: where are they on the cover? Is it that smaller blue writing next to 'Vegeta', or in that triangle at the top-right?

They're the smaller blue text next to "Vegeta". The triangle at the top says "Original Story".

Almost done, just wondering about this page.
The Vegeta story is done, the Piccolo story has been colour corrected the same way, and just finishing up the trunks on now (just that 'misc' page left) - whole shebang will be up by the end of the day (it'll have to be, I'm moving tomorrow

Darn, I forgot about that. Despite having Trunks' picture above it, it doesn't say too much about the Trunks story.
Goku's name is written out each time with the kanji for son gokuu, but with furigana that indicates it should be read kakarotto. The third volume of the popular Jump Anime Comics is the television special “A Lonely Final Battle~The Z Warrior Kakarot's Father, who Challenged Freeza~” (broadcast October 17th 1990 on Fuji TV). A much-discussed work that drew a large response, it depicts the fierce battle of Kakarot's father Barduck, who challenged the formidable enemy Freeza as if being guided by the star of destiny.
In addition, this book is packed with special features like an original illustrated story that has the popular Trunks as the protagonist, as well as the latest reports on the television series!! It's a packed work that's a must read for “DragonBall Z” fans!!

Awesome, just finishing up now (and throwing the side stories into ZIPs) and adding 'credit' pages.
I'm assuming that Vegetto EX would like to be credited as 'Vegetto EX' and 'daizex.com' (unless there's some other webpage you may or may not have that you'd prefer), But what about you Herms? A webpage, email, anything?
Also, Andrew (for the Piccolo scans) and Mike (for the Vegeta scans). Any webpage/email/etc for you guys?
-edit-
And if not, Herms, Andrew, Mike, how about last names at least? I feel like I'm stealing credit when I get a webpage and last name and the other credits are just [some guy named] Herms/Andrew/Mike

On the page for the Trunks story, it gives the illustrator as "Matsui Miya" rather than "Matsui Aya". Also, the cast names on all the website pages for the stories are in surname-personal name order (Maeda Minoru), while on the title pages for the stories themselves they're in personal name-surname order (Minoru Maeda). Neither is right or wrong, just a little inconsistent.
Also, for me and Mike, when you click on our names it takes you to the front page of your website.
Other than that, everything looks great!

Wow, what a great job guys! It's things like this that make this community truly amazing.
As for me, you can credit it as Michael Lubow (mike_lubow@yahoo.com)
or just leave it as Mike if you don't want to change it. I don't mind either way.
Thanks again guys,
-Mike

Just noticed that it's still "Vegetto EX" in the last page of the zip
. Please fix! Or I'll do mean things!
Also:

Also:
I wish I wasn't working on a bazillion other things and could do my page version of it right now...desirecampbell.com wrote:'Lonely Future Warrior!! Trunks' (孤独の未来戦士!! トランクス). Included in the Anime Comics version of the Bardock special, it told Trunks' story, covering much of the same material as the Trunks special. However, it went further than the Trunks special did and included Trunks' journey into the past, his first meeting with his father, and his fight against Cell in the present. This one was written by Matsui Miya, who was scenario supervisor for the anime; the illustrations were again by Maeda Minoru.

On closer look, I noticed in the Trunks story that a few sentences are broken up into two sentences. Most of them are ones that in the orignal continued from one page to the next or from row to row, and I guess I wasn't clear enough in my posts that they were supposed to be the same sentence getting cut off, rather than two seperate sentences.
p.158 "Even now, when much time has passed, it still aches sometimes."
pp.158-160 "The moment I saw Gohan-san's corpse lying stretched out in a pool of blood, screams, anger, frustration, and tears swelled up in my body like a surging wave."
pp.160-161 "To avenge Gohan-san, Vegeta-san, and all those killed by the androids, I needed to definitely be above them in power"
p.160: I hid Vegeta-san's form and Gohan-san's voice saying "You are the last hope" deep within my heart.
