Its just unimaginable how people are trying to give some hope to something that was meant to destroy, totally exploit and turn DB it into a pop culture stereotype, right from the start, from the idea of it...

I didn't mean to imply that you literally called someone an idiot. I'm just throwing out my interpretation of what's going on. Really, the biggest complaints people have about Goku (racial stuff aside) is that:

1) He doesn't smile or carry himself in a carefree manner at all.

2) His hair makes him look like Ace Ventura more than Goku.

Those are pretty big complaints. We knew he gets a movie version of the Kame uniform at some point so that's no big deal. Him wearing normal clothes isn't even that big of a deal considering that he does wear normal clothes on occasion in the comic.

However, the general "spirit" of Goku is yet to be seen and his hair, while we all know that it's nearly impossible to get Goku-styled hair, they could've done a lot better than what they ended up having by at least giving him some bangs.

I personally think VegetaDTX simply needs to take a good swig of Metamucil followed by a nice little trip to the toilet and everything will be butterflies and flower petals in his life once more.

I'd be incredibly shocked if Piccolo is unrecognizable as Piccolo/a Namek or looks all that different from the anime/manga. I think, perhaps, the 'pink areas' may be gone. Body paint would look dumb and prosthetics for those would be a generally wasted effort as they'd likely be rarely seen. But other than tha I don't expect much alteration to his appearance. Unless you count the likely-hood he'll look like (be?) Ma Junior as opposed to Daimao as a difference.

This Vegeta-DTX character seems to derail the movie threads. I know I'm not excited for the new movie at all, but this level of crazed fanboyness he is displaying is just not called for. His actions are part of the reason the Dragonball fanbase is looked down upon.

Not to get involved in this argument, but his in his profile he says his location is "DESTROY 20 FOX CENTURY!!!!!", so he is putting out a mixed opinion on the film and the company, he's pretty hard to understand.

I've seen hardcore opinions on both sides of this movie in this thread. @_@

The only thing I really worry about is the characters' personalities. I really, really don't want to see Goku acting all angsty and depressed because that's nothing like him at all.

*Hopes really hard that they'll keep Goku in character*.

The thing that I'm most worried about in this movie as far as the characters personalities is that they are going to use Goku's power as an excuse to make him out to be like The Hulk, a fighter that gets really angry and fights in a blind rage. It's a popular trait in modern Hollywood to make fighting movies where the main fighter gets insulted or his best friend gets killed (happens in DBZ a lot) and he goes into a crazed fighting mode. It does not fit Goku's character at all, it could really ruin the movie.

I'd rather they save that for Gohan. To give Goku the "Gohan personality" would completely ruin him.

Yes, he does in that one instance and I do remember it, except this movie obviously stops before the Freeza saga so their is no way they will need to make Goku like that for any instance in any parts of this movie since that scene will not be in it!

I think before we all go and slate this movie, we should at least wait to see it!

We might have a small surprise, it could turn out to be the best movie of the year!

I admit, I was really anticiptaing its release from day 1, but then after seeing some photos I started to have second opinions... I just don't want to see this movie dragged down to the ground; until I have some hard-proof evidence (Like watching it) that it sucks.

I do have my faith in 20th century fox, and the cast are experienced... C'mon Fox please please....
