The first part is Toyble talking about the live-action movie. He says that he's one of those who is for the movie, and talks about how the live-action movie might become a trilogy.

Then he talks about the upcoming DragonBall special, and mentions the recently revealed names of the new characters (Tahble=Vegeta-looking guy, Abo+Kado=the other two), and says that it seems Abo and Kado aren't really part of the Onyu Special-Selection Squad.

The picture is, of course, supposed to be of Justin Chatwin as Goku, though Toyble says “no matter how you look at it, it's General Blue”.

I hate to double post, but reading through the comment thread to Toyble's second-to-last update, it seems that he does in fact plan on making a 30 page update this month, if I'm understanding things right. So that'll be fun...Incidentaly, that comment thread has a lot of discussion on the live-action movie, so it's an interesting window into what Japanese fans think of it. Maybe I'll translate some of the key bits and post them in the live-action movie thread.

Oh, and did anyone post thisup? It's supposed to be SSJ5 Trunks.

THIRTY PAGES?!! That 'Toyble is a name for four people' rumor must be true, ala CLAMP or whatever...

Awesome picture, though. Just to remind people, 97 is 'officially' up, if you will. Not much to translate, either.

It's only a SFX in an bubble--"ba(a)." Sort of a drama SFX in this context.

He says the remaining 5 pages will be done within the week. He posted the rough drafts (those links at the bottom) so he wouldn't keep people waiting too much.

Thanks for the new pages desirecampbell, I can't wait to read them. And just out of curiosity, is there any particular reason that you stretch the pictures when you typeset them?

And could you put that one page that you colored up in your little "extras" section (and any other ones if you've colored them)?

1200px tall is a standard scanlation size. Because the word balloons are designed to house vertical characters, not horizontal ones, putting in English is hard - usually you have to make the text rather small, and that means limited visibility at smaller sizes. So I upscale the images to 1200px (and use some Photoshop magic to sharpen the image) before I layer on text.

いつもありがとうございます。

今回は賛否あるかなーと思ったのですが、トランクスにバスターキャノンと叫ばせちゃいました。ゲーム技名ですが、技の名前って言った方がかっこいい気がして。

というか最初考えたときは、あそこはベジータ＆トランクスではなく、ウーブ（パパイヤマン）が加勢するって展開で考えたのですが、みなさんのベジータに活躍してほしいという声にお答えして展開を変えました。たしかにパパイヤマンじゃ盛り上がらなかったかもしれないっすねｗ

…さてさて、ジャンプスーパーアニメツアーの東京大会の募集が締め切られましたね！
みなさん応募しました？なんか大人は入れなそうだな～と思いましたが、正直な年齢を書きました（⌒＿⌒;

Starts off thanking the many people who view his comic.

Then, he goes on about using a game-named attack for Trunks (Buster Cannon) which he had mixed feelings about, but thought it'd be cool to have him yell out an attack.

After that, he tells about having Oob (Papayaman) help out instead of Trunks and Vegeta, but everyone wanted Vegeta, so he changed around things.

Lastly, he says that the sign-up for the Tokyo Jump Super Anime Tour is closed. (He thought that adults don't seem likely to get it, but he wrote his real age anyway.)

Interesting, so fans do have some sway on how he conducts things, but would that really get in his way of using Papayaman? Oob could still help out, in fact Xicor could defeat the the Saiyans and then go on to attacking other parts of the world...
