Wasn't green. It was a fireball-like blast with one hand.

While the story isn't being fleshed out in the trailer, all of the little details DO stick out like a sore thumb.

Chatwin looks...wow. The positioning of the pole and the screaming face...that just ain't right.

Also kinda pushes the image that Goku is somehow always screaming.

If you start the video at 1:18/1:17, that's where it shows up. Basically, after the "Roshi" character name card. The "MAAAA" sounds perfect, and I really have high hopes for the Mafuba in the movie.

That's not him actually firing the Kamehameha, and is obviously just a different shot of a small, one-handed blast edited in. The background and colors look different, and he looked positively crazy and bulked up while charging, but relatively calm and normal with the one-handed blast. Everyone who's mentioned it says Goku's Kamehameha is going to be epic, and despite popular belief, they're not stupid or lying to us.

This movie might be all right if you only look at it as an action movie and nothing more.

I'll try not to think about Dragonball Z too much when watching this.

I don't think it is supposed to be a Dragon Ball movie either, but rather a prequel to Dragon Ball Z.

I didn't hear him say "MA!" during that green blast but I did notice the green blast right after they threw up ROSHI! on the screen.

Hope it is the evil containment wave, or what have you. I would say that calling it by that name or its orginal Mafuba? Right? I would say that would be a nice nod to the fans but with this movie its more like a rapist leaving behind a twenty and saying "Thanks for the good time."

The name of the "evil containment wave" is "Mafuba". I definitely am hearing a "MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA", as though it's a strain to say it, which would be pretty much on target for what it should be.

I don't think it's quite so bad as you say it is. I don't like Movie Goku's personality as portrayed by the trailer, or their casting choice for Roshi. However, movie Piccolo, the re-imagined Capsules, and what the trailer seems to imply as an accurate Mafuba give me hope that this movie is going to be more closely linked to Dragon Ball than some people think.

You know, watching the trailer, it just doesn't feel like anything Dragonball related. They keep telling me it is, and I know it is, but I just have less and less interest in seeing this movie with each piece of media released for it.
