....Your using wiki as a source? Wow...I don't think I even need to say anything.
I know Wiki is not always right, but that's what i've been hearing around the net.

I just downloaded the pages I was missing. I've noticed that in page 125 one of East Kaioshin's speech bubble is missing it's text.

And also a lot of text that isn't translated yet.

Egads, they actually did it, they managed to seal the bastard in the sword. Although I don't believe it to be permanent, it still is an interesting turn of events.

I'm thinking Lila steals the sword and runs off for a while to unseal him while the gang regroups (and Gokû...returns?)

I really like this comic. But I feel I should share with you what I don't like...

I don't like the pace, it kinda goes against every story ever made in Dragon Ball. The intro with peaceful days is too short, then there's no henchmen, it's just 5 pages and BAM, Goten is turned into mash. This is the main thing.
It gets into the main fight too soon, and now it's been there for ages.

Although at least everyone else is putting a fight, but I don't think any villain will turn into anything or that there's another main villain, I can be wrong here.
The first pages with back story are completely irrelevant. They even annoy me a bit, there is absolutely no point in retconing Freeza into being West Kaioshins son.

With these new pages, I hope the pace will change. Another thing that I've been thinking, since he's basing his story on all the rumours, Evil Goku is bound to appear eventually, right? Maybe a second saga?

April Update

Toyble was thinking of doing some prank for April Fools Day, but the day arrived before he could think of anything. Maybe next year he’ll say that this is the last chapter or something, though of course it’s pointless if he tells the prank beforehand. It took a lot of effort to draw these five pages, so it’s looking iffy if volume 3 will go on sale this summer.

134
Kaioshin: Go…Gohan-san! Bring the sword down, just like that!!!
Gohan: Daaaaaaaaaaah!!!
Xicor: St…stop it!
West Kaioshin: Kuh

136
Gohan: Haa haa

137
1
Kaioshin: [r] Ha…hahah [l] We…we did it…
2
Kaioshin: [r] We’ve done it, Gohan-san!! [l] We’ve sealed Xicor away!!!
West Kaioshin: Guguh
Vegeta: …So they pulled it off?
Gohan: Haa haa

138
Gohan: [r] It’s…[l] It’s over…
West Kaioshin: Scum!

DB DVD (sketch of Tarble and Gure)
Tarble says he read the V-Jump manga adaptation of the new anime special, and it made him want to watch the special again. He wants to check and see all the subtle differences between the two. He ordered the DVD, but he’s forgotten when it was supposed to arrive. April? May? He hopes the second half of the manga adaptation shows what happens to Tarble afterwards. He wasn’t in GT, so maybe he went back home.

Sketch of Tarble and Gure from before, but with hands drawn over it
Toyble is left-handed. A reader called Uissu-san noticed this. Toyble wondered how Uissu-san could tell, but after looking at some of his pictures, he noticed that the lines he draws when blacking things are all slanted to the right. He thinks that’s probably how Iussu-san could tell. As the picture shows, when drawing those blacking-in lines, if you draw them with your left hand they’ll lean to the right, and if you draw them with your right hand, they lean to the left.

DragonBall Evolution (sketch of Yamcha)
Toyble went and saw the live-action movie. He thought it was interesting, and that the hour and a half just flew by. He says the live-action movie is separate from DragonBall. He was impressed with how much of the original story was preserved, and how they used it. He was happy to hear “Goku” and “Kamehameha” and whatnot coming from the screen. He says Justin Chatwin is cool; he still has a youthful feel to him, so he suited Goku. He wasn’t too beefy or too young. The Kame dougi suited him; Toyble wants one for himself. Emily Rossum in the role of Bulma was the closest to the original, in both face and personality, and she’s super-cute too. The CG was amazing; that’s an area where Japan is just no match. However, too many things were crammed into the movie, and there were lots of things he wishes were explained more, though he thinks those parts were probably cut because otherwise they would wreck the pace of the movie. Hopefully these cut portions will be included on the DVD. Toyble thinks everyone should go see the movie and form their own opinions. He hopes there will be sequels, so that he can see Vegeta and Freeza. He personally thinks that the android story arc is the one most suited towards Hollywood, so he hopes they hang in there long enough to get that far. Finally, he apologizes for such a long post [I, uh, kinda got bored and skipped some of the middle there]

So from this I guess we have one more year of DBAF, I wonder when Broli is going to arrive if ever. Moreover, I am glad to see a Japanese fan that had something positive to say about the live action movie, I concur with is sentiments.
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

Him saying it was the last chapter was just his idea of an April Fools joke he could pull next year (which he then admits would now be pointless, since he just gave the joke away). It looks like he's making slower progress than he expected, so AF will probably continue for more than another year.

Well, that's the thing about webcomics. When you only update every now and then, you have to make an effort to grab the attention of the reader quickly, to keep them coming back.

Well yes and no. I also felt that the pacing of the comic felt rushed. Yes he has keep the readers' attention since most of us have the attention span of three year old on sugar sticks (thanks a lot modern technology) but Toyable has turned his web comic into a doujinshi. Just imagine walking through a Japanese doujin shop and DBAF cover catches your eye. Let's say you never read the webcomic so you pick up the book and skim through it. The art might be great but the story will become somewhat laughable. Which by the way I had the chance to see DBAF doujishi on the rack at my favorite shop in China Town. Having the chance to actually see it up close and flipping through the pages didn't make it any better, in fact I think it suffered a bit. (So I brought some H doujins instead )

Pacing is very important when it comes to sequential art and when you update once every so often or when ever you feel like it shouldn't be an excuse. I can understand the urge to move things along a lot more quickly, leaving every page like a cliffhanger. Great for the old fans, bad for new readers. In fact I think even the most die hard fans will tend to get a little bored with the "action" on every page bit.

Yeah, I admit it is a little rushed...

I hope they can have some more stuff like the first few pages (after the prologue) later on.

I don't know, I remember that Dragon Ball AF madness after the end of GT, that's about 10-11 years ago..... We were all pretty excited and read tons of ''Plots'' I grew up from this nonsense and realised that AF is fiction. Now we have here AF comics. The art is superior and it's the most comparable stuff to Toriyama art. There I will give 10/10, but the different thing is story for me. Revamped and not so original characters, evil kaioshin and Saiyajin look like Mary Sue/Villain. There is few pages of introduction and without warning, SMASH!!!! Huge battle takes the place, everyone getting ass slaped. I think the story is missing some deeper and more original scenario. Hey, the children will like it anyway, but for me it's too much of repetition and I was really bored + If someone can make an story after GT, I must have GT manga, that's oneof my criteria. I think that it's a really pitty, because I really love that art in classic Toriyama's manga style.

What I really like is the Dragon Ball Multiverse comic

I already basically described it: "[top hand] With your left hand, they slant right [bottom hand] While with your right hand, they slant left"

Awesome. That's what I thought, just wanted to make sure. :)

New pages up! Plus those three 'extra' sketches.

Did Toyble ever put page 128 up?
