First, I've never ever had a problem with these kinds of threads. I agree, it does seem that they are more prevalent these days, but in all honesty, any thread ever (Unless it's purely derogative) does nothing but add things. They may be just pointless Power Level threads, but it gives us something to talk about. And when is that a bad thing?
Personally, as far as these absract questions go, I like them. I like thinking about these really odd questions. I happen to find them rather interesting, and they always present intriging things to ponder about. As far as that goes, yes, I think anything "normal" (As in, not Buu) would probably be incapacitated by it.
Oh, I find them interesting and at times fun. Usually. Sometimes they're kinda "*sigh*"-ish. This one in particular didn't get me all that excited simply because it sounds like absolute zero is being equated with "really really cold" as opposed to an utter and complete absence of kinetic energy. Kinda like "Do we really understand what this is that we're talking about?". Except, you know, I didn't want to sound like an ass and say it like that. ^^. (Well, that, and it
was just an initial impression, and we all know how those tend to turn out.)
Ur, I suppose since I agreed with VegettoEX's inquirey (inquiry?) and also put myself in the sample group (XD), and since someone else... ur... answered, I might as well.
Male, U.S.A., started watching DBZ on Toonami in 1998, I think, but didn't really get into it until 99/2000 (I'm not sure specifically...). 21, in college, last two years of Highschool were at the state's Math and Science school (which got arts added to the name the first year I went because of some burocratic happenings). I was a physics major for a whole semester, at which point my utter incompotence caught up with me and I'm thus undeclared in my seventh semester.

.
And since I've mensioned him a lot, my dad got into it around the same time (I think he was actually more interested than me for a while there). I think that puts him around 31 at the time. He was very into martial arts and such ... pretty much before I came along, and wound up not completing college (which may or may not have been my fault, I dunno. ^_^ ). He's been an electrician for I think 16 years now, and is decidedly into the more eastern cultural aspects of the series. Krillin's his favorite character, and he's a Buddhist (more philosophically/lifestyle-ly than religiously). Ur... and I think thanks to Naruto he's watched more anime online than I've ever dreamed of. ^_^
Message boards... I discovered what they were and how they worked in late 2002. I've mostly only stuck with two, those being daizex and
Azuri's, the latter of which was initially a message board for a fanfiction website (Ur, until a few of us turned it into a wasteland of insanity that persists in some form to this day...). I've a forum for my own things as well, if that counts... it's effectively become a secret hideout in the past three or so years.
My dad... not so much on the message boarding. He did get an account at mine... I think just to send me a private message... and that's about it, so far as I know.
