Crap, you're right. That was careless of me, thanks for pointing that out. Fixed now.

It looks like he will be selling DBAF manga on Mandarake. I thought it was illegal since he doesn't own Dragon Ball?

Toyable dragonball fan comic is a doujinshi. I'm not really in tune with copyright laws in Japan but doujinshi artists almost never get into any legal problems with the original publishers.

Speaking of which, they have Vol.1 and Vol.2 on sale now. And when I say "sale" I mean sold at a reasonable price instead of the arm and a leg prices on ebay.

Basically, Toyble is sorry for not updating AF in so long, but he's been busy with DB Zero. It seems that the DB Zero books are just barely going to be finished in time. He finished the cover today, but even though the deadline for the books is the start of next week, it seems that even the page count hasn't been decided yet. Toyble says he's learned his lesson and won't draw anything but AF from now on. He'll go back to working on the next AF volume...beginning next year.

After that it's a bunch of stuff about Comiket, and then a picture of the DB Zero cover (is it just me, or is the “DB Zero” title font the same as what's used for the DBZ anime comics?).

I can't wait to see the back story for Xicor soon. It seems like Xicor has a odd family tree now (He is the son of Goku and Western Supreme Kai. The half brother of Goten, Gohan, Freeza, and Cooler).

When you ask about interest in DBZero, do you mean anyone interested in translating it, or reading a translation? I'm definitely interested in reading it but I can't read (or speak) Japanese :(.

To clarify "would anyone be interested in reading it?"

Toyble finally finished drawing DB Zero today. So he gives some Comiket details. It’ll be on Wednesday, December 30th, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at the Tokyo Big Site. Toyble’s booth will be 30b in the P-Block, East District. He’ll be selling:

DB Zero (1st Printing): 52 pages, 1,000 yen
DB Zero Rough Draft (1st Printing): 34 pages, 500 yen
DBAF 1 (Revised Edition, 2nd Printing): 66 pages, 1,000 yen (contains pages 1-64)
DBAF 2 (Revised Edition, 1st Printing): 66 pages, 1,000 yen (contains pages 65-127)

DB Zero has a relatively high price for its page count, so Toyble is considering throwing in something extra with it, but with only a week to go, he might not get it done in time. DB Zero has a collection of background stuffage (設定集; not too sure what this means, maybe character designs and whatnot?) added in back, so that’s why it’s page count is higher than the Rough Draft version.

Toyble then posts some pages from the beginning of the book. They’re the same as what he posted during the summer, but now they’re fully inked and everything.
Title Page (page 3)
Toyble
Dragon Ball Zero
Horizontal writing: Shall I show you an example of my technique?

Page Four
Box 1: [t] The year, Age 737— 3 days before Planet Vegeta’s destruction—
Box 2: Planet Vegeta Fighting Arena #3
Announcer: The team who finally wins this match will be approved to be dispatched as soldiers to another planet.
Raditz: [r] Hah [l] Hah

Page Five

Shallot (short-haired kid): [r] Hey, Raditz! [l] Say that you give up!!!
Shallot’s teammates: Nice going!
Rycelo (head-scarf kid): …!
Tullece: Guguh
Tullece: [r] Raditz, that’s enough! [l] Surrender!!
Raditz: [r] ! [l] Tullece…

Page Six
Raditz: I get it…
Raditz: [r] Hey! Did you hear that?! [l] I’ll surrender, so take your leg off me.
Shallot: [t] There’s something you’re forgetting! I can’t do that! Just announce that you’ve lost like this!!!
Raditz: [r] Look, please…[l] I don’t want to lose looking so pathetic.
Shallot: …
Raditz: I’ve got pride too! Please take your leg off me.
Raditz: Please!!!
Shallot: …! Chih

Page Seven
Raditz: Daah!!!
Shallot: Wha—

Page Eight
Announcer: [r] We—ell now! [l] Contestant Raditz has kicked up sand---!!!
Announcer: I can’t see the ring through all this dust!
Shallot: [r] Crap [l] Where’d you go?!!!
Shallot: !!
Shallot: [r] Kah…[l] Kahah!!!

Page Nine
Shallot: [t] You…you bastard. Ge…getting help from others, and grabbing tails are…against the rules…!!!
Tullece: You think we care?!!!
Raditz: Hah!!!

Page Ten
Announcer: [r] Contestant Shallot is out of bounds!!! [l] And so, Raditz’s team wins!!!
Shallot’s teammates: Eeh!!?
Raditz: Hihihi

Page Eleven
Shallot teammate 1: Hey now!!!
Shallot teammate 2: That was against the rules! That’s dirty!!!
Raditz: [t] Hmph There’s no such thing as “dirty” in battle!
Raditz and co.: [r] Haah hahhahhahahhaah!!! [l] Hahhahhahhahhaah!!!

Toyble finishes up with this into for DB Zero:

This is a story starring Raditz, set in the year Age 737, both before and after the day of Planet Vegeta’s destruction. How did Raditz survive? How did he end up working together with Vegeta and Nappa? What was the fate of the other Saiyans who had been sent off to other planets? Why did Raditz and Tullece know that Goku had been sent to Earth? Toyble will explain these uncertain points, in his own way.

Toyble has finished drawing the extra bonus for DB Zero, which will be a 4 page photocopied book about “Barduck’s secret”. Unlike the main story, it will be gag-based, or at least have a comedic touch. He’ll start copying it tomorrow, but he’ll only be able to print off so many, so if they run out, then too bad.
