Neko Majin Z NOT playable in Bukuu Ressen, but...

Post by Ash » Mon Jan 16, 2006 3:23 pm

The Bandai page says "サポートキャラ「ネコマジンZ」", support character 「Neko Majin Z」, so he is 'just' a summonable character :/

Man. I really wanted to play as Z ;_;

D'oh! My bad. Gonna fix up that update. You'd think I'd read the text in Japanese I actually *can* read...

How do you go about unlocking him (not that I actually think he's in the US version ;_;...but it's worth a shot)?

Just tried the code. It doesn't work in the US version. And yes, I've beaten Z-Battle and Max mode.

Awsome! It works. I love my japanese version. :P
Z is very overpowered. He jumps in and performs a strong Kamehameha.

Now, wouldn't it be a "NekoHameHa"? :)

Damn. Viz need to get off their backsides and licence Neko Majin. That way, if Z features in any future DBZ games he'll hopefully be kept in the US and European versions.

You know. I just realized since Germany _has_ released Neko Majin Z, there's a itsy-bitsy fantamalistic small chance Z is in the European version of SSW2. Can't wait for our release ^^ (And waiting till someone confirms it or says it doesn't work...)

Huh? Since when did Germany release anything?...
I understand what you're saying, but it sounds a bit weird, anyway, where does it say that Neko majin is in the European release?

Nowhere.

But the main reason not to include Neko Majin Z in a non-Japan release of Bukuu Ressen is because Neko Majin Z hasn't been released in other countries, right? However, in Germany, they did have Neko Majin (Z) released in their version of Jump, namely Banzai!!. So therefore I inferred, there was a itsy-bitsy fantamalistic small chance Z could be in the EU version. Ergo. Q.E.D.

Hehe. Carlsen Comics did release Neko Majin Z in the BANZAI! magazine. Altough I don't believe that they did release all of the stories.
However, I don't believe that Z is in the european version von SSW2.

I'm quite confused...is he in the game or not. If so, I'd really love to see screenshots! :P

Unlock Neko Majin Z in Bukuu Ressen + MORE!
VegettoEX @ 9:25 am EST -- Finally got a friend over in Japan to pick up this month's issue of V-Jump. Soooo... ready to unlock Neko Majin Z in your Bukû Ressen...?!?

First, you must have beaten "Z Battle Mode" at least once. Next, win all 60 fights in "Mania"/"Maximum" mode. NEXT, on the mode select screen, press:
(hey, stop copying & pasting news from other sites verbatim!)
Up, X, Down, Y, L, R, L, R, Start

Finally, when choosing your support character for a battle, hold the "R" button while pressing "A" to select them.

OMG really! A site! Amazing! I thought I was dreaming when I saw the Screenshots on the site!(end sarcasm)

Okay it says that on the site, I already read that. But now people here are saying he's not. And if he is, i'm askin' for a screenshot of 'em! I'm not stupid.

Then read the thread. He's a support character in the Japanese version. Since Neko Majin Z was never translated into English, nobody would know who he is, so he's not in the America version.

So is Neko Majin Z in the European version? I have that version, but i haven't completed that yet. The European version has Japanese voices, so it mightbe (since it came out later than the Japanese version) that it is the same as the Japanese version.

I don't think Z is in the European version, but there's a small possibilty, he is translated in German.

So the EU SSW2 has JP voices? Cool, guess I'm gonna pick that one up later in the week.

Neko Majin Z isn't in the European version. I just completed the game and tried the code. It didn't work. :(
