Since they didn't say anything about the continuities, it's logical to assume that the continuity splitting does not seem to be the case.
And how can Penguin Village be placed in a different continuity if we saw it in the manga?

No, it's not. It's not logical to assume they share continuities when such a thing is impossible.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Since they didn't say anything about the continuities, it's logical to assume that the continuity splitting does not seem to be the case.
And Dr. Slump is placed in a different continuity. Both Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball have a Penguin Village, that's simple. Just like both Dragon Ball and the movies have a Kame House, etc.

Why do you take the gags so seriously? It's like debating how Goku was breathing in space in the manga. Dragon Ball has its gag moments that violates common sense as well.Saiga wrote:No, it's not. It's not logical to assume they share continuities when such a thing is impossible.
I disagree. Because, as a fan of Dr. Slump, it sucks badly that way.Saiga wrote:And Dr. Slump is placed in a different continuity. Both Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball have a Penguin Village, that's simple. Just like both Dragon Ball and the movies have a Kame House, etc.

Because it's not something you can just brush off as a gag. It doesn't make sense that way. And Goku breathing in space is a plothole, quite simply. There's no need to force Neko Majin and Dr. Slump in and creating more plotholes to it.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Why do you take the gags so seriously? How? I like Dr. Slump and that doesn't mean it has to take place in Dragon Ball's continuity. Re: Dragon Ball things you never want to hear again
Calling something a gag isn't enough to dismiss problems created by it in a serious series. It works fine for Dr. Slump which is a gag manga through-and-through, but Dragon Ball was only a gag series in the beginning, and didn't stay like that for long.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Gags are not meant to make sense.Saiga wrote:Because it's not something you can just brush off as a gag. Anyway, let's just agree that we disagree. You take gags as plot-holes, while I take them as funny shit that don't mean shit to the story.

Who would win between Goku and Superman and Broly is stronger than Super Saiyan 3 Goku and Super Boo is something I never want to hear again.

I just laugh at it. I watched it twice. Once when I was younger for laughs, and more recently with TeamFourStar riff tracking it. Of Course I watched it online because it was a piece of shit movie. People over react to DBE and it's annoying sometimes. It's not like the movie was going to be good in the first place. The trailer alone gives you the idea it was going to suck. At least The Last Airbender look promising when they show off the teaser back in 2009.

"The voice actors for the Funimation dub never improved until the Buu saga/the dub of DBK." The voice actors were already starting to show a tiny improvement when Trunks showed up. By the time the Cell arc came around they were really starting to get the hang of it.

Re: Dragon Ball things you never want to hear again
- Super 17 saga (GT). That saga was awful and was an overall bad concept. At least the Baby and Shadow Dragon sagas had potentials (which were unfortunately wasted, especially the former).
- Nozawa's voice acting for adult Goku. Kid Goku I can understand, but I can't stand to listen to her voice 23rd Budokai Tournament and up.
- Goku and Vegeta in a "romantic relationship". One of the most cringe-worthy things I have seen in the fandom. Putting them in a relationship, when there's no indication of homosexuality between any of the Z-fighters and that both would sooner kill each other, mixes worse than oil and water.

Your preferences are your own, of course. But there is a trope for that called "Foe yay". http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FoeYay/Animeastarisborn94 wrote: - Goku and Vegeta in a "romantic relationship". Dragon Ball Z's portion:
Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z certainly seems to have this level of obsession with the main character Goku, although it isn't shared. Also of note is that another villain, Freeza, is prone to this in the US dub, both being voiced by a woman with a raspy old lady voice (like a flapper?), and using blatant sexual innuendo towards Goku.
- Oh sure. People always talk about Vegeta's obsession with Goku, but which one of them had a visualization of the other completely nude?
- In the Japanese version, when Vegeta is naked and taking a shower, he stares up at the showerhead and says Goku's name. That is all.
- In the non-canonical movie, Vegeta hilariously shouts "Kakarotto Wa Ore No Mono Da!!" when Android 13 is beating his rival to death, and charges in to protect Goku. The context of this sentence is "Kakaroto is MY PREY hands off him", but "Ore No Mono Da" is usually used by jealous ex-boyfriends to say "belongs to me".
- While we're on the subject of Goku and Vegeta, why hasn't the Ki bondage that Maijin Vegeta did to Goku during the Buu Saga been mentioned yet?
Just posting for educational purposes. At this point, it's not too surprising to see the idea of them together.

@Sinestro That is actually a pretty bad section, like most "shipping" sections on TVTropes are. Using the filler energy ring attack Maouji Vegeta used as proof of subtext? Ugh.

Wow, I never understood the purpose of TV tropes.... What is it? Some weird Pop Culture encyclopaedia for weirdos from universities?
There is really some weird and non-interesting stuff there.
