Well, Kuririn's always the shortest character in the series. It's part of his character. So that really can't be used in an arguement.
Although I'll have to say I agreed with your earlier post.
Edit - Oh, sorry. I think I misunderstood your post. Damn lack of tone.

Girls are known to grow taller faster than boys... (I remember Bulma saying something similar in the DB anniversary movie)
I'm so glad Goku hit some major growth spurt. Woooh handsome he is. *using non-one-linerness as an excuse for fangurlishness*

Pan cannot be 9. If she was, then I'd have to feel guilty for thinking that she was hot. I like to assume that she was 14, because I am not a pedophile. Infact, I'm to young to be a pedophile. If she was 14, she'd be older than me

Er... after reading all that jibba jabba, all I can think of is Dr. Evil's "riiiiiiiiiiiigt...." Anyhow, given that we're dealing with a fictional character, I doubt there's really much to "feel guilty" about in your case(and apparently, she's not much off from your own age...).
On topic: Pan is 9; the closest thing we have to an actual source confirms it.

That may be true in real life for Japanese females, but not in anime where the women tend to be very well endowed in about 98% of the series out there. DB is definitely no exception seeing as Toriyama designs very shapely females.
This is true, but you have to remember that Pan isn't set up to be some hot piece of woman, she's Gokuh's grandaughter. The kind of character that's supposed to get the "aww, isn't that cute" reaction, not be sexually attractive.... In any case I'm not really endorsing either age, just saying that it wouldn't surprise me if she was 14.

And yet every other female in Dragonball is?

BURN!
Jerseymilk's exactly correct. Let's take Bulma for example, who's 16 at the beginning of Dragonball. Bulma is
very well developed for her age. But then look at Pan, who's
supposedly 14. With a two year difference, it seems puberty hasn't even started.

I'm very sure this wasn't the case with Bulma and by this age, most of the women in Dragonball had already hit puberty. Look at Pan's grandmother, Chi-Chi at 12! She's more developed!
This is why I go with the fact that Pan must be 9 or 10, not anywhere near 14.
I really, really need to get back into the habit of posting.

I wouldn't say that for all of the women, Videl's not very well developed (in the manga) and she's Pan's mother. Anyway, what I meant was when it comes to a child (14 counts I guess) Toriyama tends to draw them very undeveloped. He never seems to draw a transition age, everytime a character approaches puberty he hits the time warp button and ta-da! They are 16 with an adult body. We see this problem with Gokuh and I wouldn't say it's because he's an alien since Toriyama hadn't planned that yet.

ChiChi -was- wearing an armor bikini. Pan's clothes are definately baggier and less revealing in comparisson
I think literaly the only charactesr spared from time paradoxes as they aged were Gohan and Dende...
Though, in Neko Majin Z, we get a glimpse of a young teen Goten! So perhaps him too!

Well, that was after the series since Uub was living with them so Goten must have been an adult during Neko Majin. Pan was older as well, she looked about 9 there.

Well, in the Buu saga Dende switches between lil' Dende in Namek garb, to teen-Dende in Kami clothes a couple times.

But at least in the anime, and GT remember is just that, she actually is as big breasted as the other women. It just doesn't look that way because the baggy shirts she tends to wear. Watch her in the anime and during certain angles and scenes, you'll see what I mean.
Plus Toriyama's females in the manga seem smaller breasted when compared to other manga females, but that's mainly because most manga tend to make the female characters exaggeratedly "gifted" in the chest department. So that wasn't a hard thing for Toriyama to accomplish. That doesn't mean that his females characters' breasts aren't still a good size. Flip through his artwork of females and see.

Wasn't it mentioned in the first episode (JPN version) that it has been 10 years...
I'd like to point out that Videl was short... and Gohan wasn't exactly a tall kid either... It could easily be genetics. I know may 14 year olds that are under-developed (I'm as flat as a board) and short. If anything it adds to her character.
Just remember, everytime something bad is happening to you. Something even worse is happening to someone else.

No time was given in the JP version. Only the dub gave a time in-show, and it conflicts with what was given in an official Japanese book. =/
Edit - One thing that's bothering me, though. EVERY time this thread starts to die and people have calmed down, somebody posts and bumps it up in the hopes of throwing in one comment or another to stir it up. =/
If a thread's dead, it's dead.

Of course you know many "flat-chested" fourteen year olds, because it's real life. However, manga and anime aren't real life and as I said, are notorious for designing female characters that are well endowed whether that's realistically or not.
