I thought those two 2nd form Freizas look the same. Probably because they are earlier in the series.
I actually think that the Gt animation is quite good. Go back to the episode where Goky defeats Omega Shenron with the spirit bomb. When it shows his back up close and the light is shining on him. I thought that looked amazing!
