I'd say "go out and buy the DVDs" - but you really should just wait for the boxsets (damn you 13-month-postponement!).
Here's some nice looking, silent, clips. And
here's the Freeza saga specificly.
Now you have no excuse.

Aww, duuuuuuuuuuuuuude! Thanks so much for that link! Now I'm all giddy. x333 *clicks to download*
... I'm so glad these aren't torrents. DD:
Homework and art projects notwithstanding, I'm DEFINITELY gonna be working on this! Probably in the early morning hours, too, if I can get away with it... ^^;
While we're at it, can you reccomend a good "high-octane" artist I could use for the song? System of a Down and Mindless Self Indulgence immediately come to mind for me. :3 But maybe I should inquire about this in the AMV forums...

Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

Ooh, I wasn't expecting this...
I'm gonna try and make the vid, too. Getting footage was my only real roadblock.
Time to warm up that Windows Movie Maker!

Update: Got most of my clips, and I've found the perfect song for the video. It's actually off one of my sister's CDs...
Also, I wish I'd found DragonBallArena's little collection here before. It would've really come in handy for my Super17/Doom Trailer Video...
On that note, maybe that other trailer I'd been considering is now acheivable...

That's not a bad idea at all. Actually, that's a great idea. Nothing gets people tto be more creative than when they could get some free junk out of it. I'm heading out to Wal-Mart soon... I'll see what I can find. A DVD or something. (If anyone has any suggestions
pm me soon) I'm willing to send it anywhere in the US/Canada.
Community based contests? That's the greatest idea I've heard all week.

Perhaps we should start a new thread for this?
Perhaps we could get Mike or Meri to judge?
-edit-
I'm actually wondering about Mike's thoughts on this. Specificly the clips from DB Arena. (PMing now...)

Oh, I'm
so in if it's a contest. I have the perfect song and everything. Just trying to get a few specific clips DB Arena didn't have. That, and trying to figure out some way to MacGyver a countdown clock effect with just WMM...
The prize should be 'Wrath of the Dragon.'

I'm thinking the prize should be something that's a little rarer... like one of those scouters? I dunno, I wouldn't really want to participate if the prize is something I can just get at Suncoast...
I'm still gonna try doing the video, though, if only just for fun.

Uhh, are Suncoasts still around? The one by me unfortunately closed

.. That was where I would pick up manga if I didn't feel like going to Barnes & Noble which was a minute away from each other.

Well, that may be a little
too big a prize. The newest movie release seemed to make sense as a prize, so I suggested it.
But overall, yes, it's (
mostly) for fun.
Speaking of DVD's, I've realized I may actually have to go hunting for one/some in order to make this video...

Yeah, I heard about that. But you can still go by Wal-Mart or F.Y.E. for movies, can't you? (I'm not sure if there's an F.Y.E. where you live... >.>) It shouldn't be hard to pick up a copy of any of the DBZ DVDs. They're sold almost everywhere in this country. o_O;
And, no, not all of the Suncoast stores closed down. The one where I live is doing just fine.

The owners probably closed a lot of them to avoid going bankrupt; maybe they'd stretched out their business a little too far...

Well, maybe so. Hopefully whoever decides to offer a prize for the contest can think of a good compromise... I mean, a bunch of people on the forum already have this movie now. I'm even thinking of purchasing a copy... >_> So it wouldn't exactly make sense, especially since (and I'm just assuming here) that some people who have the movie already also want to participate in making this video. ^^;

Now that I think about it, I haven't picked up a dvd in a while. Like I said, there was a suncost by me and I used to pick up DBZ dvds. They were the funimation releases and they were priced at about 20 dawa. I started my 'collection' from when Freeza arrives after the dragonballs were used. I bought the dvds up to when Namek explodes. I'm gonna guess and say that that's about 120 dawa spent. Needless to say that pisses me off. DVDs in general are a waste of money to me, now anyway. I'm waiting to see what happens with the dragonbox. Mabye it will come here, who knows?
For now, I have the ViZ releases of the manga, all 42 volumes hooray for me. ViZ gets a lot of bad views, but I think its fine as long as you avoid the minor edits. The only dvds worth buying imo are the movies. Oh and the games are good, too. The best thing to do is wait out whatever your gonna buy;see reviews, trailers, or even rent it before you waste money.
..
What was the question..?

I just had my sister check the FYE in the mall where she works. They've got just about everything but Freeza saga DVDs...
Anyhoo, I'm already working on my video.

You could always try buying them online like Ebay or Amazon. If you can do that, play Sparking!..!

Man, that one song by Nickelback would hav been good for the DBZ movie deal if it was 5 minutes insted of 10... damn.
Just remember, everytime something bad is happening to you. Something even worse is happening to someone else.

Well, wait a second... what and where is this Nickelback song you speak of? I might be able to do something with it; I know you can speed up movie clips in Windows Movie Maker, so you could probably double music speed as well. And even if you can't, there are other programs you can use (some of them you can just download, or get demos of, even, and be able to edit sounds with them).
