Ah YES!! I've never been able to think about that info on Kal-El seperately from Kakarrot. And you're right a lot of anime personalities always remind be of Vegeta, the price of arrogance.
Argh! Even going to class I think about DBZ. In Biology we were learning about heart disease and automatically Goku's heart virus came to mind. I couldn't help myself comparing his symptoms to the class work. It's not the first time I've referenced DBZ in school work, what about you guys?

Some elements of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat..
"...blah, blah, blah...something about defeating and Shen Long". Also, thanksgiving made me think:
WWGD (What would Goku do?).

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

Decided against making a new thread for this, but if any of you guys watch "Heroes" the new show on television right now, then there is a reference to DragonBall!
It's not really in the show script intself, but in the character Hiro's personal blog which is on the NBC official website. (

I've thought long. I don't have seven dragon balls to summon 神竜 but, I have my own reset button. I've decided to go back to yesterday.
I thought this was awesome. Even television characters are fans of DBZ.

Chi-Chi knows better than to tell everyone else in the household about Thanksgiving.

Well in January I dislocated my knee during a basketball game and my grandparents sent me this small basketball about the size of a dragonball so thats what I think about when I see it.

Yeah that's him @_@. Too bad he doesn't need a time machine. That whole show makes me think DBZ, and have disturbing thoughts of what a live action DBZ show could be like. Sailormoon got a live action... why not DragonBall...

Yeah argh. But I would've liked to see something kind of official like it. You know how sometimes they'll dress a kid or someone up as a character in a commercial for a toy or advertising something else (digimon did this)? Something
without the big foam heads.

It's true. Naruto is DBZ with JPop - which I enjoy thoroughly.

It doesn't sound dumb at all, Naruto has been known to be described as 'The Next DragonBall'.
Even the show title is similar....
DragonBall - Naruto
DragonBall Z - Naruto: Hurricane Chronicles

Someone made a comment in one of my threads about Mewtwo reminding them of Freeza.
*thinks of a random scenario of Freeza being held by the mafuba/master ball*

I was watching ESPN two days ago, and I saw the

YES, HE IS GOKU!!

More things bringing DBZ to my mind:
Quite a few elements in the show Charmed make me think DBZ. There's the big enemy "The Source" who makes me think Freeza, as well as the half-demon Cole who has a similarity to Vegeta in he was raised in a pure evil environment and would always have some type of evil slither around in him (Belthazor, The Source, eventual insanity from being rejected just being himself). One other thing; the sons of Leo and Piper, Wyatt has a strong similarity to Kid Gohan in that he has a giga power destined to do great things, while Chris is more-or-less a carbon-copy of Future Trunks IMO. One last thing, the series ending has an all-too-familar feel to that of DBGT episode 64, though not someone walking outside of an arena flashbacking major events, it does go forward in time about 50 years and has the character first seen in the series (Piper) walks along a stairwell with her husband as pictures of almost every member of their family are seen on a certain section of the wall.
14 years later
