And I don't say just this because Toriyama had scant involvement in it or any sort of canon-based conjecture, but because outside of video games, GT has been essentially erased from history. It's like most bands, there's always a huge, steaming pile of shit of an album that everyone wants to forget, but sometimes, once in a blue moon, the band will take one or two of the better tracks from that album and play it live. That, to me, is what's happened with GT. You'll get small story bits and a few characters in video games every once in a while. Dragon Ball Heroes is the first time, if I'm not mistaken, since the series ended back in 1997 that any sort of official art or merchandise has been released. Save for domestic releases, such as the abysmal Dragon Ball GT: Transformation or localization of Final Bout.

I still can't help but be baffled by the excessive references to GT/Gogeta in this thread--and here I thought Kanzenshuu was a community with, by and large, good common sense. Okay, Gogeta is one thing... I could maybe see him being used if Toriyama liked him, but to expect any consistency to follow GT is fallacious at best. If you honestly think Gohan's loss of his Kaioshin power-up has shit to do with GT, I feel sorry for you.

They've said it's part of the franchise's "official history"; that's not necessarily the same thing as fans' idea of "canon".Sanity's_Theif wrote:As I recall, there was a public statement that this is canon material, I think that's all that needs to be said on that subject.

His hair's black and he's still getting his ass kicked
.... Nah he probably reverted back to normal after having his head slammed against Boo's head.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

It's black in THAT shot, but we've seen actual footage of him and Boo fighting Bils with him at Super Saiyan. Perhaps that particular fight scene is when Gohan first whips Super Saiyan back out.

So wait, you are making fun of people that want consistency in the mix of awesomeness as well? Personally, I would love to have Ultimate Gohan in the movie as well, or at least give us an explanation about the state's absence. But this picture is probably Gohan reverting to base after hitting SS Gohan's head with Boo's head (we saw that sometime ago).That_Saiya-Jin_Guy wrote:LOOK! GOHAN"S HAIR IS BLACK!!!!!! I know people love posting pictures, but please add some commentary or discussion along with them. Simply posting a picture all by itself is not an acceptable practice here at Kanzenshuu. If anything, at least give us a reason why you're posting it. Why is it relevant? Why do you like it? Does it reveal something new? Those are good starting points.

That must be a shot plays right after this one, so I guess Gohan has become normal because of getting unconscious or seriously damaged. Honestly, that's not funny at all, man. Stop trolling.That_Saiya-Jin_Guy wrote:LOOK! GOHAN"S HAIR IS BLACK!!!!!! IS EVERYONE HAPPY!?!?!?!

My YouTube
Soppa Saiyjins from Dorgou Ballru Zetto is my favorite transformation everah, especially when Trounksoru did it in front of Seru and when Bejita did it when he faced Jingonigen-hachigo. But for real, I use the FUNi pronunciation. - Soppa Saia People

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods
Dragon Ball GT didn't have Ultimate Gohan, and instead, they had Gohan go Super Saiyan like the power-up he received from the Rou Kaioshin never happened. This leads to many fans theorizing that the power-up was gone because Gohan wasn't training enough, or Gohan became an Ultimate Super Saiyan because Gohan actually didn't neglect his training (according to the GT Perfect Files), or that it was a temporary power-up that was going to go away anyway, or... etc, etc, etc. There are various theories that could work, so it's not as obvious as you say. Since DBZ: Battle of Gods has Gohan going Super Saiyan again, I believe that it's a good chance to get an official explanation for this.AnimeMaakuo wrote:Consistency? Does there need to be an explanation for everything? Gohan was obviously never meant to stay like that, and even if he did, why would it matter?
I have gotten over it, and I want Goku as the head of the franchise. I want Goku to be the one who beats Birusu, but if Goku is going to get a new Super Saiyan form that will possibly make him more powerful than Ultimate Gohan, even if we will have to see him getting his ass kicked, I would still like to see Ultimate Gohan in action.AnimeMaakuo wrote:Goku is, and will always be the head of the franchise. So, I just realized that in "Goku's Traffic Safety," everyone was scrambling to make it to Bulma's birthday party as well. I doubt it's an homage, but man, traffic safety lessons *AND* a god of destruction awakening from a decades-long slumber to personally bring about the apocalypse on her home planet? Her birthdays turn out to be pretty eventful, don't they?
There's your useless fact for the day (and it may have even already been mentioned), but I thought it was neat.

I noticed that all the CDs of BoG were going to be released by Ki/oon Music, which is a label affiliated with Sony Music, and Columbia Japan was not involved at all. Has Toei given up on Columbia because of the Yamamoto incident?
