Well, that's the thing about webcomics. When you only update every now and then, you have to make an effort to grab the attention of the reader quickly, to keep them coming back.I don't like the pace, it kinda goes against every story ever made in Dragon Ball. The intro with peaceful days is too short, then there's no henchmen, it's just 5 pages and BAM, Goten is turned into mash. This is the main thing.
It gets into the main fight too soon, and now it's been there for ages.
Well yes and no. I also felt that the pacing of the comic felt rushed. Yes he has keep the readers' attention since most of us have the attention span of three year old on sugar sticks (thanks a lot modern technology) but Toyable has turned his web comic into a doujinshi. Just imagine walking through a Japanese doujin shop and DBAF cover catches your eye. Let's say you never read the webcomic so you pick up the book and skim through it. The art might be great but the story will become somewhat laughable. Which by the way I had the chance to see DBAF doujishi on the rack at my favorite shop in China Town. Having the chance to actually see it up close and flipping through the pages didn't make it any better, in fact I think it suffered a bit. I grew up from this nonsense and realised that AF is fiction. Now we have here AF comics. The art is superior and it's the most comparable stuff to Toriyama art. There I will give 10/10, but the different thing is story for me. Revamped and not so original characters, evil kaioshin and Saiyajin look like Mary Sue/Villain. There is few pages of introduction and without warning, SMASH!!!! Huge battle takes the place, everyone getting ass slaped. I think the story is missing some deeper and more original scenario. Hey, the children will like it anyway, but for me it's too much of repetition and I was really bored + If someone can make an story after GT, I must have GT manga, that's oneof my criteria.
