The title of Dragon Quest Saga: Emblem of Roto can be broken down as:
"Dragon Quest" (ドラゴンクエスト Doragon Kuesuto): The overall franchise to which this manga chapter is a part of.
"Saga" (列伝 Retsuden): Literally meaning a "chronicle" in a historical/biographical sense, the phrase is adapted as the English word "Saga" directly on the Japanese release of the original Emblem of Roto material.
"Emblem of Roto" (ロトの紋章 Roto no Monshō): "Roto" (sometimes transliterated as "Loto") is the official/formal name of the hero from Dragon Quest III, to which the "Emblem" (or "mark" or "crest" or "coat of arms") belongs.
The name of "Roto" in Japanese was changed to "Erdrick" in the English-translated American release of the first Dragon Quest video game (at the time itself retitled as "Dragon Warrior") on the Nintendo Entertainment system in 1989.
