Dragon Quest: Sola in the Blue Sky is a 117-chapter manga series by Yūki Nakashima, with supervision from Yūji Horii and Square Enix.
The series ran from the February 2013 to December 2022 issues of Shueisha's V-Jump magazine, and was collected into 20 volumes (tankōbon).

Name
The series' name of 蒼天のソウラ (Doragon Kuesuto Sōten no Soura) includes the original game and brand name "Dragon Quest" followed by:
- 蒼天 (sōten) meaning "blue sky"
- The particle の (no)
- The name ソウラ (soura)
Though the stylized writing on chapter title pages makes it appear as if the ウ were a modifier, it is actually a full syllable / part of the name, as indicated by other official documentation of the series' title and the character's own introduction in the first chapter.
The character's name could be adapted as "Sora" or "Sola" (due to the ラ syllable), and the series' full title could therefore be reasonably translated as something akin to "Sora of the Blue Sky". The collected volumes, however, explictly write out the title in English as a stylized "Dragon quest sola in the blue sky"; as such, we have adopted that name (with more conventional capitalization) as the series' title.
