Goku wins the 23rd Tenka'ichi Budōkai, with Ma Junior as the runner-up. Goku and Chi-Chi seek to hold a wedding ceremony at Fry Pan Mountain. Flames engulf Ox Demon King's castle, so Goku and Chi-Chi set off to find the Bashō Fan. |
| 08 May, 756 | Chi-Chi trains to become a bride under Granny Hakkake. Though Goku has the Bashō Fan in hand, he finds out that the special fire at Ox Demon King's castle originates from the Furnace of Eight Trigrams, and he heads toward Five Phases Mountain. On his way, Goku reunites with his grandpa, Son Gohan. Goku extinguishes flames of the Furnace of Eight Trigrams. |
